NKU Law Students In Trouble Over UK Game

Featured Replies

I believe I saw this on KSR yesterday...

It would have been pretty tough for me to not have been watching the game on my computer, I'll admit.

That's dumb.

Why even schedule it then? Is it an attempt to see what kind of dedication the students actually have?

Geez...chill out Dean Wormer.

All I need to know about this guy:

"I would rather be watching the Union / St. Lawrence hockey game tonight than teaching a make-up class"

And to think that most of these students were already on double-secret probation....

Me too.

What's funny is I know some people that have gone through this and some that are enduring it now.

That's dumb.

As a student there, a lot of scheduling happens that makes you scratch your head. Let's just say that I am in my final semester and got jobbed w/ my schedule.

For what it's worth, Rosenthal had to write this. He is a pretty cool guy as professors go, and one that actually cares about students as people. It's unfortunate that he's become the butt of the joke here. This should have been scheduled for Wed night or Saturday morning, though. You have to let students have a life, but I'm not sure that the scheduling was in Rosenthal's hands completely.

I don't have a problem with his letter. He's 100% right. You must show respect to any speaker.

Did people get this upset when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

I'm sorry, but since when does a basketball game take precedence over academics?
