If I could play like he does, I wouldn't walk on anywhere. A walk on simply means, if you prove yourself the first year ,we'll offer you something the next year. He's too good for that. Why pay for something when you don't need to. :idunno:

I agree, 100%. Playing is a whole lot more fun than sitting. :ylsuper:

Some folks have zero idea how hard it is to get PT at that level. Van Treese at UL played very sparingly and he was 4-star out of high school. Hood hardly even gets minutes at mop up, and he was dang near top 25.

 

UL has Siva and now Russell Smith coming at the point.

 

You saw Justice score against Kentucky talent and teams with 6'2 forwards and centers. At the next level, guards will be 6'6 and forwards 6'8 and 6'9. Its a different world when you go into the lanes with that kind of height and they are as athletic or more athletic than him and he's just 5'10.

 

Let him take his path and see where it leads him on his own accord.

I think it would be kinda cool if every year Coach Cal offered 1 scholarship to a kid like Justice. I know this probably isn't reasonable but this kid can really fill it up. He's a very good PG and one of the best I've seen down at the Sweet 16 in a long time. Better than Doug Denton or Ty Proffit...NO DOUBT.

 

He would be a good college point guard his junior and senior seasons. Is the Louisville deal a done deal? Any chances he ends up somewhere else?

Not talking about a starter, just someone to hit a three or free throw now and then. So all UK fans want now are one and done players and no more Hood's or Sparks,etc.:confused:, how quickly things change:cry:

 

I don't think UK fans do not want him to walk on at UK. This fan certainly would love to see that. But the question is how much would he play if at all. I would LOVE to see more kids who stayed for 4 years. But if you want to be a contender for a title every season, unless something changes, the one and dones will filter thru the program.

You have 3 on there now(Hood, Harrelson and Krebs) and the team seems to be doing pretty good, I'm just asking for this one(Justice). I think Tubby's style of ball is more of a reason he fell out of favor with UK fans, I think maybe 6 or so of his recruits are in the NBA now(this is off the subject, sorry)

Cal allowed those three to stick around, but he didn't recruit them to UK...
