Jump came to play tonight, she looked to score everytime she touched the ball and made a big difference in the outcome. Nice game Abby.

I completely agree...everytime she touched the ball.

It was a very good first 6 or so minutes and then everything seemed to change when Ryle stood at half-court and dribbled off the last minute+...quarters 2-4 were the worst I've seen all year, but I've only seen a handful. Ryle 1pt in the 3rd and NCC 5pts in the 4th (not good)...and it wasn't the defense!

The shots weren't coming from the right player's for NCC in the 4th qtr...and besides Sandfoss, there were only 3 field goals combined by the other starters.

Tabor played very solid defense on Crittenden, but, Jenna found other ways to make an impact, which good players do, as did Tabor. The big game from the unexpected player for NCC just didn't happen as I personally thought would be needed (and hoped for).

Sandfoss played solid "D", scored, and spread the ball around very well...she was "clearly" the best player on the floor.

Might have gone OT or NC's way with a miss there and rebound by NC. I just remember glancing at the scoreboard after the shot swished and it was 39-36. Then, Ryle hit 1 FT to make it 40-36 and then 2 more to ice it. I think that Jump made all 6 of those final points in the clutch. You could say they were all nice Jump shots.[/quote

You are corrrect offensive rebound one of the biggest playe of the game. NCC also cost themselve the valuable points at the line. Their achalies heal. If you told me we held Crittenden to 6 pts, I would have definately thought we won. The # pt shooting by Ryle was lights out even when they were contested and th last one was 23-25 ft out. Crittenden found a wy to influenc the game with that rebound on a night when she was bottled up. Good players do that. I won't blame the refs, they called a decent game, losing Fryer with 4 minutes to go and the traveling call were 2 huge factors in the outcome. I thought they were calling jumpball on the travel and when they called traveling that pretty much sealed it. Good luck.

NCC outscored 17 - 5 in the 4th quarter?

Was there any adjustments made / timeouts / plays called / etc. by the coaching staff in the 4th quarter for NCC?:idunno:

Just curious, sounds like it was a good game.

NC took some bad shots in the 4th.

Ryle has too much talent for NCC . I'm still trying to figure out what Ryle tries to do offensively besides dribble a lot up top.

This could have easily been a 10 to 15 point Ryle victory. Ryle's staff failed to recognize mismatches or failed to take advantage of obvious mismatches. Early in the first quarter Crittenden blew by Tabor for an easy shot. Tabor is great in the post but looked to me like she was out of her comfort zone defensively on the perimeter. Obvious problem for NC. Fortunately for Ron Dawn he didn't have to worry about it as Ryle never seemed to try to capitalize on it.

Disagree with the talent statement, but you have the right to tour opinion. They won and that means they were best on that night. NCC was not overmatched they had the lead with just over a minute and didn't make the plays they needed to. I think if they played 10 times the winning team couldn't win more than 6 of them. Thats my opinion we all have our right to one.

NCC having a late lead is a testament to coaching.

Thanks for allowing me to have an opinion.

There were tons of missed opportunities from both teams. i am proud of the way thr Raiders fought back after giving up 10 straight points and fall behind 31-25. They are proving to be a resilient group. NCC has nothing to be ashamed of. That was a tough, hard fought loss but what a year they had. Congratulations again to the girls and the staff.

:thumb: My only coaching question for NC: I could not figure out why Ron did not force Ryle out of the zone?

Notice the cheerleader, looks as if she wants to block the shot.

That is a good question. But unless you make some shots you can't force Ryle out of it. The only thing he could have done was hold the ball outside to start the 4th quarter when NCC was up 6 and force Ryle to come out of the zone, but hindsight is 20-20. I thought the difference was the lack of balance for NCC. As was pointed out earlier other than Sandfoss no one did anything offensively. I didn't think NCC players seemed to be looking for shots or were hestitant to take them when they were there. Ryle did a nice job blocking/altering shots inside.

I completely agree...everytime she touched the ball.

I am not familiar with Ryle's team as last night was the first time I saw them play, but I must say there still seems to be some resentment on here about who shoots the ball. They just won a HUGE game and some people still seem to get caught up in petty shots at the way they played.

Lets go PUBIC SCHOOLS ...........They can have all the class A they want.....:dancingpa
