Then, Ryle hit 1 FT to make it 40-36 and then 2 more to ice it. I think that Jump made all 6 of those final points in the clutch. You could say they were all nice Jump shots.

Crittendon had 6 points, 2 steals, 3 blocks, and 11 rebounds. Doesn't sound terrible to me.

 

Was just looking at points. . . Of course you are right - looks like she played another terrific game! Ugly game or not! Congrats to both teams for great seasons! May be hard for Raiders not to be looking past St H for another go at Boone.

What happened in the 3rd quater? Six total points, did they have a lid on the rim?

When the chairs went down in the fourth it just about gave Theoldguy his second heart attack.

 

There I am sitting in a chair on the floor watching a great game when a player dove to try and save the ball but what she did was hit one of the chairs so hard along the floor that she knocked them all down in sort of a domino effect.

 

If Theoldguy wasn't as quick as he is (I might be old but I can move when the need arises) I would have been toast!

 

Don Weber of ICN6 (or is it ICN2 now?) told me he has it on tape and I have a whole lot of witness that I can call to the stand telling the judge how close I came to getting killed! :lol::lol::lol::isurrender::scared:

As stated, this put Ryle up 3 late in the game and pretty much was the final nail.

 

 

And unfortunately we say goodbye to two of my favorite 9th Region players. Quite a duo for sure. Good luck to all the NCC players and especially the seniors.

 

 

Not suprised by this at all. Ryle was constantly improving all year. Not good enough to beat Highlands though. In all seriousness congrats Ryle you have a great shot at beating Boone.

One thing that jumps off the thread here is Sanfoss getting 20 plus. I believe as this might be a nice effort by the young lady, I do believe NCC becomes 1 dimensional and ineffective. I have seen NCC at their best this yr and they was when 5-6 girls got 6-10 each. Didnt see the game but the box score suggests that Ryle had a nice game plan to stop NCC scoring. Good Luck to Ryle and NCC girls have nothing to hang their heads on. They won an All A State Championship this yr and that alone is something that is special. 20n10 FOG

I guess we will most likely get our Boone and Ryle rematch again. It ought to be a great game like the others.

 

Ryle played a good hard game but in my opinion what they did in the first quarter was the thing to do. I am not real sure why they changed it up because it was definitely working. Cheeseman was hitting and then Jump started. Crittendon was the rebounder and playing tough defense even though her shots were not falling.

 

Ryle's downfall will be dribbling too much and not passing the ball around to the open players. NCC moved the ball getting good shots because they forced the defense to move. Dribbling allows defense to rest and players not get open. Passing the ball around is the key. Crittendon and Cheeseman were open but didn't get the ball. Gotta incorporate all! Hmmm - what to do!

 

Can't wait until another Boone/Ryle rematch! Moss will be ready as well as Nell without a doubt. Sandlin will move the ball around and open shots will happen. Ryle will need to have Jump, Crittendon and Cheeseman ready to go. Johnson bringing her defense. It is up to Oliverio!! She will need to use all her players and not just stick with a couple like in the past. Boone will be ready!!!!!!!!!!

Ryle has too much talent for NCC . I'm still trying to figure out what Ryle tries to do offensively besides dribble a lot up top.

 

This could have easily been a 10 to 15 point Ryle victory. Ryle's staff failed to recognize mismatches or failed to take advantage of obvious mismatches. Early in the first quarter Crittenden blew by Tabor for an easy shot. Tabor is great in the post but looked to me like she was out of her comfort zone defensively on the perimeter. Obvious problem for NC. Fortunately for Ron Dawn he didn't have to worry about it as Ryle never seemed to try to capitalize on it.

How nice must it be for a coach to have a player like Sandfoss!
