Yes, the government has created more crime be criminalizing some drugs.

Do you think that all drugs should be legal? Opium, ecstasy, LSD, cocaine, meth, etc? I'm not talking about marijuana, mushrooms, or other "natural" drugs. I'm talking about the synthesized, man-made drugs.

The problem I see is if they're not legal we keep the crime. Drugs, as I said, are a victimless crime so I say make it all legal. I think the drugs would be much more safe this way.

You can take drugs under the direction of a doctor and you can have an abortion under the direction of a doctor.

I see a distinct difference in what you suggest. You can also take over the counter drugs that have passed rigorous tests to insure that they are safe.

So you are for the legalization of ALL drugs?

You do realize how many people in this country are addicted to prescription medicine, right? And they seem to have no trouble getting all they want.

Sure, why not? Like I said, it's a victimless crime anyway, no different to me than people drinking.

Meth is the one drug that I see being really hazardous so perhaps that one would be a no.

I don't know where I stand on drugs and prostitution. Drugs are never really a victimless crime, friends and loved ones suffer too much. Maybe I could be for it if there was an age minimum and it was like alcohol to where you couldn't drive. But, still kids of parents who use drugs suffer so I don't know how they could ever be legal or if they should be.

As for prostitution, as long as all parties are of age I don't have a problem with it. I wouldn't pick up a prostitute, but who am I to regulate others morality?

Kids don't suffer when their parents do drugs? Family members don't suffer? My friend, you must not know too many people who have had to fight drug addiction. Someone addicted to perscription pain pills makes everyone they come in contact with a victim.

I agree 110% with this sentence! :thumb:

Agreed, but does abortion create no victim?

Never said that it did. However I do realize there are contrasting views on abortion. No one (at least that I know) feels that it is okay for children to grow up in a home with drug addicted parents, because of the abuse & neglect that almost always happen, and the horrible example it sets.

Would be kids of parents who use abortion suffer a far worse fate.

There are no doubt contrasting views, but I don't understand the contrast any more than if people were to suggest that it is ok for a child to grow up in a household with addicts for parents. I am positive of the endgame when it comes to abortion. The results at least vary when it comes to children growing up in an addict household.

But any household is probably worse off when drugs are involved than when they are not. Even if a parent could hide their drug use, not abuse their children, and care for them, wouldn't the entire family be better of without the drugs? No way that anyone could slice it would make it seem okay for parents with young kids to be on drugs. Or anyone to be addicted to drugs, especially the hard stuff.

However, many people do argue that a fetus is not a person yet. I don't really agree with that and I would say that you do not, but many people do.

As I said before, I totally agree about addiction.
