I'm taking my wife to see the Broadway musical in Dayton next weekend. I was just wondering if anyone else had seen it, and their impressions of the musical.

We saw it in Louisville a couple of seasons ago. It was VERY good.

It is very enjoyable. Music is memorable, solid plot, and visually engaging, those factors give it a very broad appeal.

"Gravity" was spectacular.

Seen "Wicked" while I was in New York like 6 years ago. Not the same actors as it was then but it was a very good show and I was quite impressed with it.

One of 3 or 4 Broadway CDs that we keep in the car (along with the other CDs).

 

Mcdaughter has performed a couple of songs from Wicked at Georgetown this year.

Saw it in Louisville last year. Really enjoyable.

I would LOVE to see this show. I really enjoy the music. I hope it comes back to Cincy soon.

Try to make it, you won't be disappointed. Hot Shot summed it up very well.

 

It is dominated by the two female leads. This may be an issue for a few who are used to male-dominated musicals (e.g. Les Mis). Excellent mix of the bold and inspiring (Defying Gravity, No Good Deed), the cute and amusing (Popular), the heartbreaking ballad (I'm Not That Girl) and big production numbers (One Short Day).
