Hahaha! I know who this is coming from! I have no doubt that MLCHS will do great as well. Good luck to the Titans!!!!!!!

The word from Shelby County is that all their good players are in the district for Martha Layne Collins. Shelby made a nice run last year with a lot of juniors.

The feeder shcool to this school is one of the better talent pools I've been around in the state. Should be very interesting!

They will be in the district with Larue, Marion, North Bullitt and Bullitt East.

I am aware of the district as it has affected schedules for those teams. I am more curious about non-district. With so many in 2 year contracts I was curious as to who they will play outside of the district.

Why does every merged school go with the name Titans?

I have no idea, it will probably very hard to fill especially for Collins. I would think Shelby would keep alot of teams that were originally on their schedule.

Only a few months from the season, surely they have their schedule filled if they plan on a varsity schedule!

After the kids decide to leave,there will still be some talent at Shelby. It's up to the Coaches to lay hands, and get these kids ready to play. Best of luck to both schools.

They are not merging. It is a split of Shelby County HS. The school had too many students so they created a 2nd HS. The kids that go to West Middle will go to MLC.

 

As far as the mascot name the students were only given something like 3 names to choose from.
