June 13, 201610 yr Spill the beans. Didn't wind up cracking any of them, but currently have four of them in there: Rhinegeist's Summer (new Pale Ale) Lagunitas' Hop Stoopid Rivertowne's Brett T Shirt Contest Southern Tier's Creme Brulee
June 16, 201610 yr Anyone had the New Belgium/Rhinegeist Fat Pale Ale? Not my style and the ratings aren't so hot but I'm going to give it a try. Rhinegeist is releasing another can, Streaker. It's an American Pale Ale with a good bit of Rye Malt. I can't recall ever having this one in bomber form but it's getting great reviews. Rhinegeist really pumping up production, they have a new beer on the shelves all the time.

I've had Streaker before and enjoyed it. I was down there on Saturday for their 3rd anniversary. Was hoping to be able to try Flamingo, a new IPA they recently released, but they didn't have it on tap.
June 27, 201610 yr Anybody have any of the Cincy Beer Week collaborations? I tried them all and Fruits of Our Labor was my favorite. It was a collaboration of Cellar Dweller, Fibonacci, Fifty West, Mt. Carmel.

I was down there on Saturday for their 3rd anniversary. Was hoping to be able to try Flamingo, a new IPA they recently released, but they didn't have it on tap. I stopped by early in the afternoon. They gave me a sample of the Fat Tire collaboration but didn't get much from it so I purchased the Experimental #005. It had a different taste so I pulled up BeerAdvocate and found out it had Belgian yeast. Wasn't a big fan of that one.
June 28, 201610 yr I've got the Fat Tire & Friends pack as well as the Sierra Nevada Beer Camp pack just waiting for me to get to it. I'm leaving today to go to Colorado for a week so it will have to wait until I get back. Hopefully I can find some decent beer out there.

It was a collaboration of Cellar Dweller, Fibonacci, Fifty West, Mt. Carmel. I had Nectar, the Braxton collaboration. It was alright. If they still have it when I'm there, I'll be trying the Rhinegeist one Thursday.
June 28, 201610 yr I'm going to be heading to Myrtle Beach for vacation in about 10 days. I was planning on picking up a couple of build your own six packs to take down. Anyone have any good suggestions of crafts to include? Side note: There's a brewery a couple miles from where we're staying, New South Brewing Company. Anyone familiar with them or any of their offerings?
June 28, 201610 yr Kroger Cold Springs Crossroads has a bunch of wine marked down to .01 over cost if anyone is interested. They are in various grocery carts in the back right. If you buy 6 or more you get an additional 10% off.

I'm leaving today to go to Colorado for a week so it will have to wait until I get back. Hopefully I can find some decent beer out there. I'd say you should be able to find some Fat Tire since they are from Ft. Collins. Colorado has a nice list of breweries, New Belgium, Left Hand, Breckenridge, OsKar Blues, Great Divide and Avery to name a few. I forgot the Banquet Beer.

Anyone familiar with them or any of their offerings? I've had a few New South offerings, they are OK. When you make a beer run, the biggest craft selection is the Piggly Wiggly @Market Commons. About 10 minutes from your location. Terrapin (Athens, GA) has a very good session beer called Recreation Ale in cans. They have quite a few other canned beers you can't get up here so take your phone and check out beeradvocate.com. It isn't Party Source or Party Town but anywhere else and you are looking at Sierra Nevada as the top product. Not saying SN isn't good but we are very fortunate to like beer and live where we live. As for some take down beers. If you like Pilsner get some Puma. Jackie O's Morning Cloak is a nice session ale, heck get a 15 case of All Day IPA for those hot beach days. Get a nice barrel aged bomber for those nice windy evenings as well.
July 1, 201610 yr We are heading up to Cleveland/Youngstown area this weekend. I believe that we are stopping into Fathead's BrewPub in North Olmstead on Saturday. Sunday we are going to a winery in Pennsylvania called Lago Winery. I'm not really a wine drinker. But guess what? They just opened a new brewery right there too called Mortal's Key Brewing Company, so I'll get to have a few of those instead probably.
