Decided to pick a random brewery in Columbus on our way to Cleveland. Went with Lineage. Recommend their Spaceship IPA.

Is that Ten-Fidy stuff made in Cincy?

What about the 8-Ball stuff? That's out of Party Source, right?

Correct on Eight Ball.

Correct on Eight Ball.

It's been showing up here in Bardstown and folks seem to like it. It's not great, but I've had it more than once.

OsKar Blues is out of Colorado. I've never been blown away by 8 Ball brews but they haven't been terrible either. Their Mike Czech is a good summer pilsner.

I think my favorite by them is Red Drink. But I agree, wouldnt race to try any of them.

However, I really enjoy going to Ei8ghtball because of all the guest taps they have. Always something different and a great variety in their 42 taps.

Friday last, my son, his wife, and I went on the Cigar City Brewery tour. It's amazing how fast they have grown, since opening in 2009.

They were canning Jai Alai, their best seller, at the time and we were treated to the "fresh" stuff, though I'm not a big fan of Jai Alai, too hoppy for my taste. We also sampled some Maduro, my favorite.

Yuegling Porter. I like porters and this one is not bad.

Not much better than having a beer fresh off the canning line. Done it twice at Rhinegeist. Once with Zen and with Dad.

Overall, I was a little disappointed in the New Belgium Collabeeration pack. Maybe my expectations were too high.

Over the past two weeks I've picked up four 22oz bombers from Listermann's. They have a porter that has been aged in bourbon barrels. Six different types of bourbon, I've had the Heaven Hill, Four Roses and Smooth Ambler. So far I would rank them in that order. You can really pick up the oak and vanilla in each.

I had a Ten Fidy last week and it was great but pricey which is pretty typical for Oskar Blues.

Debated on buying a bottle of one of them yesterday, but didn't. Listermann makes some damn fine stuff.

Had a few great beers this weekend. Rogue Cold Brew IPA, coffee, pine and citrus notes. Awesome brew. Tonight I had the Stone Mocha IPA and it was phenomenal as well. These two are near the top of the coffee genre, Braxton's Dead Blow Starter is right up there as well. If you like coffee and like beer you will like these beers.

Bookers Rye it's amazing
