February 15, 201016 yr I know for sure it won't be KG, so I don't have a dog in this fight either...but I'll take a stab. I'd go with LeBron at this point, second would be Durant, after that you could make a case for Kobe, Dwight Howard, Chauncey, and Melo. I think it's LeBron's to lose, though.
February 17, 201016 yr The last league MVP to not be on a team that won their division was Karl Malone in 1998-99... Before that was Michael Jordan in 1987-88... And before him, Moses Malone for the Rockets in the 1980-81 season. Translation: It doesn't happen very often. The Thunder still have a chance of winning their division, but I think the Nuggets will put it back together when Carmelo's injury stops bugging him. More often than not, the MVP also plays for the team that leads the conference in wins as well. It's LeBron right now.
February 17, 201016 yr I would love to see them find a way to add Cousins next year through the draft without having to trade away any of the 4 you mentioned earlier (Durant, Westbrook, Harden, & Green)...That would be a scary team IMO. Hey man I forgot about this, the Thunder have two first round picks, and Bucher just said on ESPN.com that they want to move them to trade up or for a veteran player. One of those picks is the Suns pick and if they lose Amare it's a pretty good chance they end up in the lottery. Maybe they could trade their (let's say #7 and # 19 picks?) for the 2-4 and get our boy D Cuz? I know it's unlikely all that falls into place but we can dream can't we?

What that kid has done in OKC is nothing short of outstanding....Durant's 25 point streak continues as they have now won 10 straight....This team has a serious shot at the #2 seed in the Western Conference playoffs at this point, and that's simply phenominal considering the talent level of the other contenders out west.

I don't know if that was sarcastic or not, but I think most know that I'm about as big of a LeBron fan as there is. To me, he should be the MVP every year. But, Durant has had a nice year though. An MVP caliber year IMO, though I think LBJ has had a better season.

Durant is having a great year, but he shouldn't win the MVP. It isn't a snub if LBJ wins over Durant.
