Lebron easily, but Durant is having a great year.

I think you could make a very good case that Durant is every bit as valuable to his team, as LeBron is to the Cavs.

Not to me. LeBron is playing out of position with an injury to his 2nd best player and has his team in 1st place. Durant's making a nice effort, but that is a good young team he's on. Without Westbrook, Green, and Co. to go along with Durant's superhuman efforts they don't sniff the playoffs.

 

No one else on the Cavs is having a career year, unless you count JJ Hickson's 8 ppg and 5 rpg. It's not even being biased. LeBron is having the best season of the 2000's individually on the all around scale.

It has nothing to do with the fact that LeBron is a class A tool. It's a very legit arguement. Without LeBron the Cavs are bad, almost definitely missing the playoffs in the watered-down East. Without Durant, the Thunder are fighting the likes of NJ, Minnesota, and Golden State in the John Wall sweepstakes. However, with Durant on the team, they're competing for a top 4 playoff seed in the uber-competitive West.

Just kidding man. I said I was biased, to up the page some. To me, someone with no built in bias towards or against a player would pick James. His body of work this season is just too impressive. The MVP voting will say that I believe. We will see.

 

You are an admitted LeBron hater, don't you think that possibly that could be why you're taking Durant over LeBron? Durant, in any other season would have a great case, but it's hard to argue with what LeBron is doing. I know the Thunder do not have a great team around him, but other guys are producing. Westbrook is really emerging. LeBron's best supporting player, Mo, went out and LeBron moved to the PG and is averaging 30 points and 10 assist, while the Cavs have not lost with Mo out, and the Cavs have the best record in the league. Make a case against that, compare all of the numbers.

 

I'm not trying to take anything away from Durant, he's one of my favorite players in the league, maybe next after LBJ and CP3. But, IM"BIASED"O, there isn't much of a comparison this season.

No chance Durant wins. This is an award that goes to the team or one of the teams with the best record.

For the record, I never said I would pick Durant, I'd actually go with Giant Tool ...I'm just saying that a legit arguement can be made for Durant, and he would be a good choice.

I think that KD should be in the top 3. But mark it down he won't win.

I just don't see how anyone can be picked above LeBron. If he won it last year and this year he is having career best averages in everything except scoring and his team has the best record, I don't see how one can argue for Durant. Durant is having a great year, but not as good a year as LeBron. You can also argue that if you take LeBron off the Cavs that they are no better than the Nets as well. LeBron is and has always been the whole Cavs team since he came in the league.

 

 

The LeBron/Durant debate is much like the LeBron/Wade debate last year.

A legit argument can be made for Durant, let me rephrase that, but I don't think he deserves it over LeBron.
