I have a feeling that Jerri may said with the Russell/Heroes, but who knows.

I can't believe Rupert would "really" sell his soul to the dark side. I bet it's a red herring.

I cant see Russell getting a single vote now. Once again, he panicked when he didnt think he was in control of the game.

Best strategic player to never win the game.

Can you imagine if he had Amanda's social skills? Wowser.

Rob Cesterino (sp.?) was one of the best strategists to never win the game (Amazon).

I had forgotten Danielle was the runner-up of her season. After watching tonight, I dont see how she made it that far. She almost went Sue Hawk on Russell at the Tribal Council.

Any chance Sandra flies under the radar and wins the same way for the second time?

Is anyone else surprised at how poorly Colby does in the challenges? I cant blame him for stepping down for doughnuts. Something interesting that I looked up. In the first Survivor All-Stars, 12 of the 18 Survivors came from the first three seasons (Borneo, Australia, and Africa). Amber is the only one from the three to win an individual immunity. Jerri's win last week was surprising. It seems like the "old school" survivors are better at the social game while the "new school" survivors are better at the challenges.

I'm curious to look at the CBS behind the scenes video of how Candace was welcomed at the loser's lodge.

Rupert isnt the smartest player to ever play but the Rock in the pants ploy was a good one that saved his goose.

It seems to me that the more recent editions of Survivor give them more food. I remember Australia when Colby had to trade his Texas flag for a bag of rice. Very few gross eating challenges too. It seems they are pretty well fed at camp with the fish and James' bananas.

Something we won't know for a while. Did Russell change his vote at the Tribal Council or did he go in with the intent of voting for Danielle?

I would love to see a future edition with Alicia Callaway, Big Tom Buchanan, Sue Hawk, Eliza Orlins, and Shane Powers in the same tribe as Russell

I hope Russell stays around the whole game. I tune in to see what he will pull off next. The best player to ever play the game IMO. It will be interesting if he makes it to the end to see if they vote on emotion or for the best player ever. I think emotion but he's the best ever IMO.

I agree they have it a lot easier now. I also think a nasty food challenge will be in the next couple of weeks. I think I could do good on the show till they get to the nasty food challenge. I'd be out first lol.

I respectfully disagree with your assessent of Russell. IMVHO you can't be considered the best player ever if you don't win. There's a very good chance that there will be a 2 time winner after this version is done. The social aspects of the game are part of the game and Russell either can't or won't play that part of the game. I don't see how you can expect to win when you've made no secret about treating people like crap the whole time. Even Richard Hatch knew that. Those people were isolated for 39 days with him. We see just a small percentage of what happens there. At the end of that time I don't think I could overcome the emotional aspects of the game and vote for a million dollar winner to a person who has basically lied about everything.

Personally, I don't believe the best player always wins. And I don't believe winning means one played the best game. The jury aspect makes the objectivity of the game questionable. I think the social aspect is over emphasized, as far as determining the outcome.

Objectively, Russell has been fantastic at breaking up alliances and manipulating the outcome of the Tribal Councils.

Danielle last night hurt herself more than Russell hurt her. Had she not cracked, and not tried to go head to head with Russell at Tribal Council, I don't think Jeri would have voted for her. When she started cracking, she sounded desperate to discredit Russell, which could have been taken as implication that she was making a last ditch effort to get out of a mess she created.

Russell is able to LOOK sincere even when flat out lying. He's a con artist to the nth degree.

And the others HAVE to know this.

They have only themselves to blame when they fall victim to his plans.

Rupert was the luckiest man in the world. I'm not going to lie though I tune into this show to watch what Russell is going to do next.

Russell's whole game was blown last night, when Jeff Probst brought up his deception of Parvati and Amanda. It made it clear to both the reamining players and the jury that Russell is a lying rat.

The game is what the game is. It has evolved to where it is. Yes Russell is a master manipulator and I do enjoy watching him do it BUT the social aspect has become a very dominate part of the game. Anyone who holds themselves to be a student of the game as Russell does should know this. It's like preparing for a football game. The one constant about this game since it's inception was the irony of having your ultimate success in the game decided by people who you helped eliminate. To ignore that aspect of the game as Russell has damages his credibility as a player in my mind.

Good assessments by all. I agree that Russell is the best player ever at getting to the end of the game. He is the most entertaining player ever. And I said earlier in this thread that the problem with Russell's way of playing is he should never have enough votes on the jury. However, I also agree with the above that the jury can be unpredictable. There have been a few times that votes went differently than I thought, but I'm not living with the players for a month and that surely shapes votes.

I hope Rupert or Sandra win. I think Rupert has played a very good game. He has definitely played much more strategically this time than he did in the past. Sandra is a great player. She is very sharp at reading people, she knows when to make moves and when to lay low. The only thing about her is she is not good at challenges and I think the winner should win a couple of challenges at some point in the game.

I don't know why, but I don't want Parvati to win. She is obviously a very good player but something about her really rubs me wrong. She is just too slick for my taste.

I do believe this has been the best Survivor ever. I think each of the last three Survivors has been better than all those before them and this is the best one yet.
