Almost seemed like a stall. Ryle loosened up during the 3rd quarter of the JV game upstairs with running drills.....yes running drills and then had to sit through the ceremony. Just seemed odd.

Sorry to burst your bubble "Shockey"...but they were sitting behind me with a close personal friend...I could share details...but, nah.

Moss was zoned, beaten-up, and double-teamed "ALL" night and still dropped 32 and 16...and still gets trashed...simply blows my mind! The kid did all of this and was still one of the most unselfish player's on the floor as opposed to 1-on-1 basketball...she could have easily dropped 40+ and fouled Crittenden out early if she was only thinking about herself.

 

This may as well be a dead thread because it will be a classic example of Ryle fans see one thing and Boone fans see the opposite.

Yeah, fans see the game differently, but no one ever doubted the offensive skills. It's just that some former Boone players that I know have been very surprised at the defensive intensity. They just seem baffled that they didn't get to play like that. Just telling you what fans see. I apologize if I got the wrong information.

She deserved recognition in front of the largest crowd prior to game time...after flying in from out of state and old team-mates/family travelled as well...take all night to show her the love she deserved.

 

It's very similar on senior nights. I recall sitting in one last year at NDA and they had a gazillion seniors...but the other team waited patiently as they were honored...as did I

 

No one drags you into this my friend...you do a great job of that yourself

 

Boone sits through Sacred Hearts every other year...it's unreal...they honored several sports before the game...we waited almost 30-45 minutes during the ceremony and they "DID NOT" have one senior basketball player on the team...unbelievable!

It's honeslty doesn't take a ton of defensive intensity to play a 2-3 zone either...both players in question are very young and have some lessons to learn before ever being ready at the next level.

Man-o-man...both coaches celebrated a great career for this woman...she played 3yrs and waited 20yrs to have her jersey retired and someone has to complain taking 20 minutes to honor her...good golly!

For the record, I disagree with Senior nights too. Put 4 minutes on the clock and warm up after these ceremonies. Just not a safe practice. No doubt the player deserved her moment in the sun and that is why I put up her picture to boot. One quetion though, do other schools have Hall of Fames?

As I said earlier, I did not see the part of the play with the slap. No one can approve of that. There were some great efforts but some were from Ryle also or it wouldn't have been close. As for the refs, our whole crew in the ninth region is basically weak. But hey, forget the refs, although they never seemed to be on the same page,Ryle had a lot of chances. Maybe it will happen next time. The goal now is to get through Conner in the districts which will not be an easy task.

You must be reading a different thread. Not once has anyone criticized her or her play. I think I used a form of "dominant" twice in one post.

 

If you're going to make an accusation it helps if its somewhat accurate.
