Perhaps you have the conference confused with the district? No one mentioned HC and their conference, the only mention was HC and the district seeding.

They are a whole different team without Cruse. I noticed that last night as well. I think he would have given them another strong scoring option in the post. Holy Cross was running a triangle and 2 against Fangman and Pohlgeers last night at some points last night. Hall did a good job of taking some opportunities but Beechwoods options were limited from the rest.

This is a solid win for the Indians, avoiding Holmes in an elimination game, now we will have to wait and see what happens in the Districts against CCH

OK??? Are you kidding me. His baskets as Holy Cross built the lead were huge. You get 8 points out of him that is a solid outing. Also, the comment that the game was not as close as the score is inaccurate. Holy Cross Built the 17 point lead in the 3rd quarter and Beechwood chipped away the entire 4th quarter and I think got it to 3 and HC finished it off by making clutch free throws. Beechwoods pressure in the 4th was relentless. If they had been depper they could have done it longer and Holy Cross does not win. Marcus Lea hit some big shots as well.

 

I'm not knocking Knochelman at all, but a shorter, thiner Arlinghaus had close to a double double.

 

And as far as the comment about the score, HC was up by double-digits for the vast majority of the second half. If it wasn't for Beechwood starting to foul with 2 minutes left and then HC missing their free throws the game wouldn't have finished with just a 6 point win. Plus some of those threes in the last minute were just rediculous.

Yes, he was at the game last night with a cast on his wrist and a boot on his foot. Not sure what happened, but looked like he was more than likely done for this year.

I haven't....I was impressed with Cruse when I saw him twice earlier in the season though.

I don't care if one of my favorite players, Jerry Arlinghaus, had a quadruple double, I'm reacting to you saying he played "ok". I think they lose without his clutch buckets. He was a lot better than "ok". I am not comparing their games, you are.

Cruse was injured in the first quarter of the Dayton game. Broken bone in both the hand and the foot. He is out for the season and it definitely is a major blow to a young, thin roster at Beechwood. Due to the Cruse injury, Beechwood moved freshman Chase Maus into the lineup so Beechwood is now starting two freshmen (Nussbaum is the other freshman).
