Yes, the Second Region got a very tough draw. We got a better first round than last year (or 2006), but if our rep gets past that, the 7th & 8th regions loom, and it would be then whoever survives your side of death. Believe me, I don't want the draw you guys got, didn't want it last year, or the year before either.

 

I don't think Holmes should be very happy either.

Holmes should be happy to get a Wednesday game which would give them a day off to prepare for their second round game if they win. It beats Thursday, Friday and 2 on Saturday like they had to do last year.

Yep, Christian Co. on Thursday, LexCath on Friday and Elliott Co on Saturday morning. The only difference is that they played 3 days in a row. It is very tough to play 4 games in roughly 48 hours.

Someone needs to do an audit on those ping-pong balls. At least they switch it up and do upper bracket one year and lower bracket the next. LOL!

I just read that post and it looked like the assumption was made that Holmes should be glad to get a certain day for their game. Maybe I didnt go back far enough and read.

 

Either way, tough draw for the 9th Region no matter who gets the bus ticket down to Lex.

No doubt about it but it is a plus to get a Wednesday opening draw. You get a day to settle the kids down if you win the 1st round game and have a little run through for your 2nd round opponent.
