I had a four point play once in high school. I hit a shot and was fouled. The official ruled the foul was after the shot. We were in the bonus and I hit both free throws. If the official called it correctly, I assume the same thing could happen if the shot made was a 3 pointer.

I totally agree; that was just the closest I could come to a "five point play".

Nobody has STILL NOT mentioned hitting a 3 while being intentionally fouled. Hit 2 free throws and BOOM === 5 points

In the play described the offensive team should have retained possession.

What if a player get an and 1 on a 3. makes the free throw an there's a lane violation on the opposing team. then sinks the next one. 5 point play?

If there is a lane violation on a made FT the violation is ignored.

Did anyone see the Celtics game last night? They had an interesting scenerio that resulted in a 5 point play and a 7 point point possesion.

 

Hawks had a fast break and big baby Davis fouled the guy. They called it a flagorant foul, and the boston coach argued it should have simply been an intentional foul and got a 2 technical called on him, during this time his assistant also got T'd up resulting in 5 free throws. The player hit all the free throws and the Hawks got the ball back and made the basket.
