Saw McCreary in Lexington and they have a solid team and I would have to label them as favorite in the 12th at this point!

It will be an electric atmosphere with two really good teams facing off for the first time in a long time.

McCreary was my preseason number one in the 12th, seen nothing that would change my mind. As far as top 25 statewide, I don't know. The 12th is normally pretty weak statewide. McCreary has to prove they can win big in the postseason. They've been great during the regular season the past 4 years, and don't have much to show for it.

 

The 12th region is wide open though, as GCHS said, plenty of teams that can't beat each other.

How good are the Raiders?

 

They're 10-2 over their last 14 with wins over some of the top ten ranked teams in the state and their two losses to LexCath and a top ten Florida team Blanche Ely, from Miami, Fl.. They are also proving they may be the best in the 12th.

 

Wins against Seneca and Male at LexCath tournament. Hazard and West Jessamine are also both good wins, with West Jessamine's in Nicholasville.

I am really looking foward to this game! What's Corbins record so far this year and when is the last time these two teams have faced off?

McCreary has a big test Friday, they play Southwestern if weather permits. Southwestern matches up really well with McCreary and Southwestern did beat Wayne Co. by 20 earlier in the year. It's gonna be a battel at McCreary Co. and I cant wait to watch it.

I think McCreary has proven they are worthy of their ranking so far this year. They had a great showing at Lex Cath with a 3rd place finish in their tourney with wins over Seneca, Male, Hazard, and Muhl Co. I think Rob has done a good job putting the schedule together this year to prepare the Raiders for the postseason.

I do worry about the amount time between games from the Lex Cath Tourney and the SW match up on Friday. Hopefully there won't be any rust from the lay off.

 

I also look forward to the match up with Corbin next month. It should be a great game.

I think right now Mercer and McCreary are the two best teams in the 12th region, but as stated, the 12th is wide open and anyone can win on any given night amongst the top 7-8 teams in the 12th.

Rob upgraded the schedule last season and I think it helped come tournament time. It's even more upgraded this season and hopefully they do not peak too soon.

I think they are the best team in the region, the real question is can they put 3 good games in row together in March?
