How good are the Raiders?

 

They're 10-2 over their last 14 with wins over some of the top ten ranked teams in the state and their two losses to LexCath and a top ten Florida team Blanche Ely, from Miami, Fl.. They are also proving they may be the best in the 12th.

 

Wins against Seneca and Male at LexCath tournament. Hazard and West Jessamine are also both good wins, with West Jessamine's in Nicholasville.

 

Are they a top 25 team in the state?

I would put them somewhere in the 20-25 range. Well I cant think of their star guards name now? But he is a top 10 talent!

Watts, Aaron. He is a good player.

Have not had a chance to see him play, how is his game rounded out. I know he has a man sized heart, really good kid. He stays healthy he and his team should have a good season. Hope to get to see him in Nicholasville if they play someone there.

They play at LexCath later this year just against the Knights - not Nicholasville, I know.

 

He is a great player overall. His free throw shooting has dropped just a bit, but right around 85%. A great slasher and perimeter shooter. He has some defensive moments that really stand out. He can get to the whole and post up pretty easy. He needs to be more assertive at times.

Nice publicity for the Raiders. I had not even seen that yet.

I would say they are maybe second or third best team in 12th region. Pretty good team.

Notice the original poster even said himself that they maybe proving they are best team in 12th. Several good teams in 12th this year. As for the math problem, its fuzzy math down in Raider Rob country.

That's fair. I'd probably rank them #1, but McCreary has traditionally struggled with district foe Wayne County and they are good this year. West Jessamine is the defending champ and seems to be rounding into shape. Mercer seems to be very solid and already owns a victory over McCreary. Lincoln, Boyle, and Danville are all nice teams capable of knocking off most anyone in the 12th on any given night.

 

Again, I would rank McCreary Central #1 in the 12th Region today, but that's volatile and subject to change nightly!
