After seeing Holmes tonight, I expect Newport to give them a lot better game than the first go around. Not having Avery is going to hurt them defensively.

 

I expect a close game with Holmes pulling it out at the end by 10-15.

Hopefully, with Elijah back in the lineup, Holmes can get that intensity back on both ends of the floor they were lacking vs. PC and vs. Villa. He is a player that not only provides you shot blocking ability, scoring threat, and rebounding, but he wears his emotions on his sleeve, it got him into some trouble against Ballard, getting hit with 2 technical fouls, but that is the player he is. He talks alot, but most of the time he has a smile on his face, he just wants to have fun and play hard. I think when he is on the floor it seems give Holmes a little more energy, a little more pep in there game that they have missed with him out of the line up.

 

Newport coming off a 17 point win vs. CC looking for there second shot at Holmes, after they bricked there way to a loss the last time from the foul line, seem like they have improved since the first meeting and are looking to avenge their only loss so far.

 

Should be a good game early on, I look for Holmes to pull away a bit in the second half and take this one by 12.

I would love to see Pittman play with the demeanor of the Johnson brothers and control his emotions.

I love the emotion and demeanor he plays with. He is the energy for this team, but he just has to knock off some of the knuckle head things.

I'm going with Newport in this one. Newport has been getting stronger and stronger so I believe they can pull this one. Only thing that hurt Newport in the last game was the free throws. Newport in a close one by 7.

Pittman intimidated Newport inside last time and will do the same this time. I hope i'm wrong but just can't see it.

All of the coaches and players have wanted this rematch with Holmes. Coach Russell has had his players motivated the first two games off the simple fact that they'd get a rematch with the Dogs if they won the first two.
