September 16, 200521 yr What do the higher-ups at Lloyd hope to gain by backing Prop 20? It makes no sense to me at all...

September 16, 200521 yr Author I know, I know... But in the end, isn't the answer they gain nothing???
September 16, 200521 yr Obviously, its not football since no private has won the state title in who knows how long. Lloyd's gain would probably be in track and field.
September 16, 200521 yr But in the end isn't this really about Football. What is the number one money maker for all schools. When's the last time 5000 people showed up to a track meet? The privates don't dominate basketball or baseball so it all comes back to football.
September 16, 200521 yr Author Lloyd's gain would probably be in track and field. Women - CLASS AA - Team Rankings - 18 Events Scored =============================================================================== 1) Paducah Tilghman 120.50 2) WARREN EAST 60 3) RUSSELL 59 4) LLOYD MEMORIAL 42 Men - CLASS AA - Team Rankings - 18 Events Scored =============================================================================== 1) Paducah Tilghman 156.50 2) LLOYD MEMORIAL 72 3) HIGHLANDS 68 4) ROWAN COUNTY 50 There isn't a private in either Top 10. The Girls finished 2nd and the Boys 4th in CC last year as well, and no privates finished ahead of them...
September 16, 200521 yr Author Again, does anyone see Lloyd being "threatened" by any private in any sport that would give Lloyd an advantage by seeing them booted???

September 16, 200521 yr Author Lloyd = turncoats :jump: My blood is really boiling on this issue, but I'm trying to behave...
September 16, 200521 yr What do the higher-ups at Lloyd hope to gain by backing Prop 20? It makes no sense to me at all... Maybe they're tired of the annual girls' basketball beatdowns at the hands of Villa Madonna.
September 16, 200521 yr Would at recent student athlete who had gone to Elementary and JHS in LLoyd's district who decided to attend another school have anything to do with this?
