December 13, 200916 yr I didn't get to see the kid from Nebraska enough to form an opinion on him. I will say of the other 4 guys you could put every one of them up there and make a great debate. It was wide open this year IMO. I thought it would probably be Ingram or McCoy because of them being in the National Championship game. I felt like Gearhardt would get snubbed even though he had better stats with less around him. I also know in my mind if I am building a college team and have 1 guy to build around it's Tim Tebow hands down for me!
December 13, 200916 yr Don't forget there were several games Mark didn't even play in the 2nd. Half. Also we use Trent Richardson and Roy Upchurch and Roy runs a lot on 3rd down. Mark is an excellant blocker. I'd like to see the runner up in the SEC, but that will never happen. I'd like to see Trent run in the Pac 10 as a starter all year. Trent might win it next year. December 13, 200916 yr Well deserving winner, the best player on the best team in the country. Why does it have to be the best player on the best team? Shouldn't it be for the best player in the nation? Too many people look at a team's record when giving out individual awards.
