Ryle by 13

The Colonels are due for a bounce back. I look for this game to be very competitive. Ryle has a strong team and will be a factor in the 9th Region later in the year but tomorrow night I give the nod for the Colonels to pull the mini-upset and eeck out a W.

Stauffer should be back to full strength tommorow night. I am going with Ryle at Home by 10 points.

Covcath is going to struggle with Ryle's physical style of play. I think guard play will be the key in this game as both teams match up pretty evenly down low.

In other years I might agree with you, but this year with Jake, Trevor, and Trey, I don't think so. I will agree with you however it will come down to guard play as to whom will win this game!

The other factor is how deep does Ryle go off the bench and if they don't go deep, how good of shape are the Ryles starters this early in the season, as CovCath has been playing ten or eleven players!

I have to assume that Ryle is in pretty good shape. They went to the wire with Boone County utilizing a six man rotation after Stauffer went out.

You may be right, but honestly I don't think Thelen, Wellbrock, and Evans are enough to beat this year's Ryle team.

Ryle is able to counter those three with Stauffer, Vollet, and Coleman.

Not to mention they have one of the best guards in the 9th (IMO) in Mitch McLeish.

The only way I can see Covcath's depth being a factor in this game is if they can get Ryle in foul trouble.

Interesting game. Ryle's offense is simply not very strong. They will have to win with D. However, their bench is short.

I don't think we'll see the 60s on the scoreboard.

Ryle should handle the Colonels on their home floor.

I think CCH travels to Union and picks up a W. Game will be ugly, but a win is a win. CCH has the deeper bench, but I would like to see them cut back on playing 10-11 guys to 8-9 guys. I think Wellbrock and Thelen are physical enough to play with Ryle's physical bodies down low.

Ryle -- close but CCH doesn't pull this one out

Agreed. Stauffer and Ryle are too much down low for CCH. Wellbrock can play physical with them, but CCH has no one else who can bang with Ryle under the basket. And, while I agree with Clyde about Ryle's offense, CCH has not yet found its perimiter game either.

Alex, when you decide to come out and watch CCH play this year I'll make sure to introduce you to the big horse Jake Thelen.
