Notre Dame is using the Parker Research Group out of Atlanta to scan/screen candidates which leads me to believe that depending on the time that they were hired, someone in and around Kelly was contacted. What interests me, is why Kelly would meet with them personally before the end of the season and not after the Pitt game. This to me, flows with the idea that he had been politicking for the job, behind the scenes. Was UC contacted and did they receive permission to meet? Lots of questions here...of course if this is spot on.

December 9, 200916 yr Author A lot of details...interesting. Yes it could be bunk, but it covers an awful lot of angles...could just be good writing. Giving much of this credence, is there hasn't been any denials from BK. Not sure how detailed the Tribune was with the Stoops stuff...but Stoops has been on record of saying he wasn't interested at least three times. Kelly has a lot of politician in him and he is going to say the right things to the right people at the right times. However, what cant be denied is contact between ND people and Kelly's people as far back at minimum, last week, if not further.

December 9, 200916 yr Which surprises you? Based on what he has shown to be his character here over the last three years, a little. He claimed to have learned a lot from the things he did wrong in his exit at CMU, but if he did begin talking with them last week that proves to be a sham...

I sure hope no one cares about that, he would be the Head football coach, not a priest.
