Scott 64 Louisville Male 55

Featured Replies

Don't kid yourself, Scott has been in the top 25 several times over the past 3-4 years. They are a solid ball club.

Scott always plays VERY HARD and they are well coached.

He has 6-7 Freshman Derrick Willis at Male and plays him on JV and Freshman???????????????????????

Dude has skills too. He's not a 6-7 uncoordinated player. He can step out and bury the three as well as he can score underneath. It's the old "Freshman don't play varsity" rule.

Give me a break:confused:

I'm sure Scott has a very fine team, but they do 'not' have the tradition that Male has or has had. If it is true that this was one of Crew's best, if not best team, then dispatching Moore or Scott would not have been a problem.

In my opinion, Male has fallen quite a bit from its glory days.

Did the student/athlete and/or parents and guardians inquire about the rules regarding freshman playing? If they knew frosh do not play at Male, then why send such a great talent to Male in the first place?

Congrats to Scott. They do play some decent ball out here in the hinterlands.:thumb:

Watched most of the game. Scott out played and out hustled Male on both ends of the floor the second half. Scott's bench played well after loosing I know at least two players to foul trouble.

Neideregger drops 22 on Male, that is quite impressive. Scott will be a tough out in the 10th Region this year.

Scott was down 4 at half but really had outplayed Male to that point but just missed a lot of open looks. Male did some damage on the offensive glass in the first half.

Scott came out in the second half and started making some shots and limiting Male to one shot. O'Conner did a nice job rebounding the basketball and changing a lot of shots. Scott is very long and very athletic on the inside.

Males guards could not contain Smith as he got in the lane consistently and got easy looks for Niederegger and Jones. I think he played all 32 minutes and handled all of the different looks Male threw at him.

Scott is going to have to develop some bench play as Niederegger and Jones both fouled out with about 2 minutes left to play. As physical as Scott likes to play this might be an issue as the year goes on.

This kid is going to surprise some people this year. Nice looking player who, IMO, has a chance to lead a very talented starting five for Scott in scoring.

The bench gives me some concern for the Eagles.

Carr says he is a tremendous leaper and can throw em down with ease. Smith must be the real deal at the PG position which will free things up for OConner/Neideregger.

Lack of a bench may hurt them when they take on a GRC or Mason Co.

This is a great start for the season for Scott. There next game is tonight against Harrison County but they take take a visit down to Maysville to play Mason County (12/11) only to play Lexington Catholic 2 days later (12/13). Good early season tests for these boys that will benefit them down the road. We should be able to get a good gauge as to where the team is right now based off how they perform in these games.

I agree, will be watching for the outcome of these games. If you get any info, please post it for us.
