What makes Louisville a great job?

Top notch facilities, great pay......easy road to the BCS......and an amazing town to live in.

I don't know anything about the practice facilities, but the Pizza Box isn't top notch. Aren't they trying to build an expansion?

 

The pay isn't great. Someone already stated that Florida offered $1.5 million to stay and Louisville offered $1.6 million to be the head coach. Obviously it's speculation, but the point remains that Louisville doesn't have a ridiculously deep pocket book.

I think he just means it is an easy road to get to a BCS game.

Maybe so. But it has to be a negative knowing that you may not even get into the BCS National Championship game if you run the table.

The Pizza Box is a very nice stadium....only one in the country with 100% chair back seats...after the expansion is done, it'll be very, very nice....with the terrace in one end zone, and ton of private suites...etc.....the Trager center is awesome as well.

 

The pay is perfectly fine for a coach that has only coached one game as a HC.

 

The year Louisville went to the Orange if they hadn't screwed the pooch against Rutgers, they would've gotten in against OSU. The next season, Pitt upset WVU at the end of the season, when they would've gotten in......

So it was a detriment to the SEC when Auburn went undefeated and missed out because two other BCS programs were ahead of them???

If you get UL to a BCS game, you will be able to get a great job somewhere else.

I think he would get 3-4 years.....this fan base has a ton of idiots who think they know all, so if they make some stupid mistakes early, you'll already hear grumblings....BUT I think a bowl in the 2nd season is a very realistic expectation.

If you get UL to a BCS game, you will be able to get a great job somewhere else.

 

I think U of L is a great job, but you are right, if interested it would propel to the those Top Ten jobs.
