    • Hey, it is the Bengals. They could not score anymore all year and we'll still have Bratkowski!

Consider looking into Charlie Weis for the offensive coordinator job if he is still available at season's end? No way they should bring the Brat back.

Mike Brown is to loyal and during a winning season I doubt there is change unless Marvin speaks up.

I agree. I think he'd be a step up, but I still don't think they should make that particular move.

Does Weis mentality fit what the Bengals need? They've done the high octane passing thing and it netted one playoff appearance and one season better than .500.

I do think they could open the offense up more, but if they do get a new OC, they still need a guy that will stay committed to the run.

Good idea, but I agree that if this season doesn't collapse, no changes will be made.

No. Weis's success came through Spygate. Coincidence? I think not.

I thought about posing a question about the Bengals yesterday.

If the Bengals blow their lead in the AFC North & somehow miss the playoffs, will Mike Brown FINALLY hire a GM?

Or is this season's short success enough to make him think that one isn't necessary.

There are some guys who are just better suited for the OC job, compared to the HC job, IMO. (Hello Bruce Coslet!)

Bratkowski is definitely becoming too predictable. A fresh outlook, with this team's talent, could go a looooooooooooonnnnnnng way.

Don't change horses in the middle of a successful season...at least in my opinion.

I don't think changing OC's mid-season is what the thread is about. I think he meant for next season...

I thought I heard someone he is the second longest tenured OC (been with the Bengals since 2001.. thats crazy within itself) .... if this is true I almost wonder if it's better to change to stay ahead of the game unless you have a guru who nobody can stop. Has the league viewed his scheme for too long?

I know that I have.

I think that in your heart you know the answer to that question.
