November 29, 200916 yr Andre Smith got in... he looked alright, good footwork. I believe this was his first game i'm hanging onto my stub!
November 29, 200916 yr Effective passing game makes the running game even more efficient. We will not be able to run for 200 yards against Minnesota or San Diego, who we play two out of the three next weeks. Also, you will not win in the playoffs without throwing better. BUT, a win is a win and is is much better than last week.:ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper::ylsuper:

Playing those teams in good weather will help our passing game, too. I love our "heavy" approach to running the game. We had Andre Smith in with Dennis Roland as a TE. That's a HUGE offensive line and will be very difficult for anyone to compete with. Throw in an array of talented RB's (Benson, Scott & LJ) and you've got a deadly ground attack.
November 30, 200916 yr Andre Smith got in... he looked alright, good footwork. I believe this was his first game i'm hanging onto my stub! Are you kidding me? I had the binocs on him on every play he was in, and I thought he looked terrible. I'm not a hater at all, just my honest opinion. He was blocking air on every play that I saw. If you want, I'll be happy to send you my stub. Just give me the address!
November 30, 200916 yr Bengals sweep the division for the 1st time in franchise history. :thumb: :thumb: Congrats!

To be fair, each run was to the opposite side & Smith never quit. To me, as long as a lineman doesn't have his number called or doesn't stand out, he plays an alright game. This was Smith's 1st NFL action. I thought he played well.

They ran away from him every play he was in.

I don't know if I had a better view or we watched different plays but he made some nice blocks as well, for his size he can move. He was in less than 7 plays. Remember debut, this kid is going to be a stud. For you all down on him we will see how things turn out for him, save this thread if you want.
November 30, 200916 yr I can't say I'm not happy with a win but the offense is a major concern. Currently the passing game is so vanilla it isn't even funny and they can't or won't stretch the field. The defense is much improved but they will have to score points against Minny and SD, I just don't see them holding those two squads to low scoring totals.

Well thats the thing its just not hard to plan against Brat. The Bengals are too conservative, they get a lead and run the clock, the Pats or Saints get a lead and go for the throat. Carson wasn't on his game today either.
November 30, 200916 yr I am more concerned with the lack of pass rush than anything. QBs in the playoffs will pick you apart if you give them all day.
