Had a protective boot and crutches by doctor today...missed practice again today - but no fractures - severe sprain - plus he has turf toe issue as well...goes back to doctor Thursday - but he's a senior and tuff kid - so i doubt he would miss the game unless doctor prevents it...know more Thursday.

this is not a good thing but Collins will be decent backup - just young (SOPH) - but he is getting reps in practice and is doing fine - just not a Dominique - but who is?

 

If it makes you feel any better, Mayfield players X. Shelton had tweaked his hamstring and J. Jackson did something to his ankle. It isn't quite as serious sounding as what has happened to Hayden, and I doubt they would miss this game for the world.

If you're injured, you're injured. I guarantee every kid wants to play in this game, but, it's not worth damaging a future college career. That goes for any player, not just the ones being discussed here. I'm just not a big supporter of 15-18 yr old kids having to prove to there parents or coaches or fans how tough they are and play through the pain. It's one thing if it's not something that could get worse or just being sore or a pulled muscle or something, it's something completely different if playing could make the injury worse. Just not worth it, imo.

In saying all this, hope to see Hayden, Shelton, Jackson and anyone else who may be hampered by injury, out there able to play saturday.

Due to some scheduled priority events back in Lexington, LCA will be playing for the first 3 quarters only.

Talked to Coach Morris earlier today...both Shelton and Jackson are still a little hobbled but will be action this coming Saturday

I agree. I am pulling for LCA but I wish both teams luck and hope that everyone plays and remains injury free.

I know that here is on Raceland fan that would like to be in this game on Saturday. Mayfield and LCA are two great football teams that deserve to be in this game.
