I'm not as satisfied as I thought I'd be. The President has turned out to be less progressive/liberal than I would have liked.

Those stats are definitely "change we can believe in"............

How liberal do you want him to be? What laws or programs would you like to see?

I think Obama has proved to be nothing more than a typical politician, it's just he really has no clue as to what he's doing yet. Inexperience has been a big hurdle for him thus far IMO.

Typical liberal agenda, I guess.

From day one (even before), I've wanted out of the war. Both of them.

I think it's unconscionable that there are 40-some million uninsured in this country.

Significant emission reductions, treaty or no.

NCLB reforms. Increased emphasis on and funding for early childhood education.

I agree with the note re. inexperience. I'm still happier, however, to have his inexperience over 4 more years of what we got from 2000 to 2008.

It appears as though you still have 4 more years of the same in many instances.

You didn't think Afghanistan was a war we should have been in?

A lot of those uninsured are uninsured through fault of their own. They didn't put their health before their want. Why should people like that be bailed out?

What good will emission reductions by us do when China and Turkey have no intention of decreasing theirs? We do an excellent job of reducing emissions.

Throwing money at education does zero good when you have parents that just don't care about their children's education. We need to somehow reach these parents.

Not only is the bolded a "Typical liberal agenda" it is also a conservative agenda. Looking at it from the conservative side, I wish both wars were over, the biggest part of our enemy dead and our victorious soldiers safe at home home for the holidays.

You do a great job of basing everything on the broadest possible generalizations.

Not really surprising as the realization settles in that what is promised in a campaign often cannot be fullfilled. Interesting that the black demographic goes against the tide.

All facts. Care to show me where I was wrong?

Absolutely not. Covert op, put a bullet into OBL's brainpan, end of story.

I would imagine the statistics look very similar for every president one year after election, be they Democrat or Republican.

Who is to say that someone else, even crazier than him, would take his place? The whole organization that masterminded the 9/11 attacks had to be dealth with swiftly and decisively. With that being said though, I had hoped that the soldiers would have been removed now but things never go as planned whether it be war or anything else in life for that matter.
