I thought a while back I read that big oil companies make 7 to 8 cents profit per gallon of gas sold and the Federal Government tax on a gallon of gas is over 18 cents per gallon. That's not including the state tax of anywhere from 15 to 30 cents per gallon.

What caused the climate changes before man was involved?? Any data or proof that it is totally man caused now?? We do have some responsibilities but lets not over react...

 

Maybe the hydrogen sulfide from dinosaur feces caused global climate change that resulted in the last ice age that in turn killed off the dinosaurs.

Whether it was a hacker or an inside job, e-mails from the Climatic Research Unit of East Anglia of Great Britian have been released showing that data was manipulated to keep the lie of global warming going. Hopefully this will expose the global warming crowd for their attempt to grab power and money from everyone on the planet. Al Gore will have to find another way to fleece the American people.

Excuse me, as I now have to go fill-up my V-8, 4-wheeled drive Silverado.

 

I've said on here before that 99.99% of us really have no clue as to the veracity of the claims regarding global warming so I'm not saying either side is right.

 

I am saying that according to this that these emails have been selectively scanned and posted without proper context to fit an agenda.

Take both sides and deny, deny,deny. Even slightest hint of covering up the truth in this situation proves they have no clue and it is all about politics and control of freedom. These guys are in for it for the money that funds them and some of them may be closet power hungry individuals.

Just got home. Walked with my feet to the public transportation option and rode with numerous others all in one vehicle. Then, walked with my feet about 3 blocks to home. Ahhhh.....I saved money, got excercise and did a little something for the Earth! :walk:

 

Drove my gas guzzling 2006 F-250 from Independence, KY to Blue Ash, OH for work, then drove it back home. Walked up the stairs, then walked back down stairs to go back out the garage because I had to fart. Didn't want to live in my own waste, thought I'd leave it out to share with all.:idunno:

They twisted the data to make the numbers add up the way they wanted to. It is in their e-mails to each other. Why did they not release these under Britain's freedom of information laws, unless they had something to hide?

If neither side has evidence to prove their point, that means the global warming crowd has nothing to go on, they are just guessing. Let us remember there is no consensus in science, either there is proven results or there is not. These guys just want money and/or power. Of which some of that money and freedom is mine and I am not giving up either.

I assume you are going to give me some info to hide the hiding of their phony science. You already said they do not have evidence to support their beliefs, so everything they put out is fake.

This whole global warming (oh I forgot, they call it climate change now) thing has never been about anything but money from the get go.

I love when people decry statistical manipulation as a reason to disprove theories. :lol: The truth of the matter is, statistical manipulation neither proves nor disproves anything definitavely. Anyone who wants to prove/disprove a theory is able to include/exclude certain elements of a study to create the statistical conclusion that they choose.

 

In my opinion, statistics aren't a be all and end all of proof. But I also won't change my mind on something that someone who believes differently than I on because of their statistical analysis.

 

To this issue specifically, I think the concept makes sense, and philosophically I believe that stewardship of the environment is a responsibility. Whether that means the theory of global warming is statistically manipulated, or that there are statistics out there that contradict the theory is irrelevant. It's a larger philosophical issue than scientific, IMO.

I see NO reason why we should be looking at paying ridiculous taxes or forced to buy 'green products' to line the pockets of the Al Gores out there for something that has absolutely NO PROOF. Absurd! There is NO proof that anything is happening that is caused by man and there is certainly NOTHING we can do to change what the sun does!

Stewardship is fine and dandy, but not at the cost these buffoons want.
