A cursory Google search probably would give me a hundred of them in no time, but someone already beat me to the punch.^ From what I've read, the scientists in question were chastised for being "secretive" and "not forthcoming". A "why act like you've got something to hide when you don't" kind of thing.

As to the emails you would think they would learn that the attempt to hide something usually turns out far worse than the act itself.

There were two different scientist who were specifically named, and there was a commission by the British Parliament that cleared the work done. After taking a few statistics and probability classes on the way to a masters in mathematics I can say securely that the analysis that has been used to back global warming is pure fraud. Anyone can fit curves and extrapolate what they want when they manipulate or ignore contradictory data points. That is what they did. All to establish a new currency - carbon credits. They were going to create money out of nothing. Just like Bernie Madoff.

Carbon Credits Many of these scientists receive grants that depend on them believing in global warming, other sign on because they feel the need to so to protect their jobs and others simply are wrong on their interpretation of the data. Follow the money. :thumb: It is naïve to believe that “scientists” are somehow more altruistic and noble than stock brokers, oil company executives, politicians, school principals, nurses, car salesmen, evangelists or any other human being. It’s amazing how an individual’s worldview and ideals may be compromised by the prospect of sufficient material gain… or the threat of a severe reduction in provisions. Ben Stein did a great documentary “Expelled-No Intelligence Allowed”. The theme was focused upon the science establishment’s complete refusal to consider valid evidence that could support intelligent design or possibly unravel Darwinian Evolution. Not only do they reject any evidence or thought for anything other than accepted Evolutionary law, but scientists and professors that even make mention of I.D. as a possible concept in their lectures or writings have been dismissed from their jobs or have had research funding cut off. I realize this is a different issue from the documented, proven and long established fact of manmade global warming, but the same financial and career bullying occurs toward those brave enough to dissent from established "group think". As a result, too few are willing to stick their necks out and say, “You know… this data does not support the recently established Law of Manmade Global Warming… maybe we should reconsider.”
