Great effort by Murray. Certainly didn't go how I thought it would, Murray put up a real big fight. Like falcon backer said, great atmosphere for a football game. The Murray faithful really know how to support those Tigers.

Murray you almost pulled it off. I was so wrong about your team. Must of been a great game to watch. Congrats to Ft Campbell. Great teams seem to find away to pull these type of games out at the end somehow. Sounds like both teams layed it on the line.

I would normally send this in a PM, but I will address it right here (and hope that it ends). Most of the FC players actually live on Fort Campbell. It's the exception to the rule if they live elsewhere because in order to be a student at Fort Campbell High School, you have to live on Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

 

Roughly 75% of the post (Fort Campbell is the ONLY ACTIVE DUTY Kentucky military installation with a team in the KHSAA post season) falls on the TN side of the border. When the post was first built, the post office fell on the KY side of the border, therefore the "city" is called FORT CAMPBELL, KENTUCKY.....so, regardless of the semantics of borders.......the players actually live in KENTUCKY. Sound good?

 

We seem to go through this every year. :idunno:

 

Again, congratulations to Murray on a fantastic season and great game. UK fball fan, I owe you an apologoy because I thought you were full of crap saying that it could be close. Sorry, wish I could have met you at the field and said it though.

I grow weary of the TN-KY stuff that the base teams are accused of. Its actually astoundingly ignorant. Soldiers have little, if any, control, over the designation of their residency. In fact, for most soldiers, when their paperwork lists their hometown, they list little hometowns all over America much as a college student might list his/her hometown.

 

Perhaps during their children's high school years, we should just let all soldiers out of military service so that their children weren't implied to be cheaters? Or, lets just tell the kids of soldiers that because we think the General might be doing illegal worldwide recruiting, that they can't play football?

 

I can understand the public-private debates that are backhanded accusations against T, X, LexCAth, LCA, etc. and we have given that its own forum. Have at it. But leave the kids of soliders alone. It makes me want to puke.

Congrats FC Falcons. As MC Falcon looking forward to playing NO. 1 team in the state in 2A. Have great respect for FC players, coaches, and fans. Have a happy Thanksgiving and see you on the 27TH. One more thing as Vietnam Vet have great respect for all the great Military men serving at FC and around the world.

After the game we were all on the field waiting for loveoffootball to text me updates of this score. All of us were rooting for Fc! This was a great game for both teams...When the score came in we all were very excited tohear that we will get another Falcon on Falcon Semi!!!!

 

On a different note, is everyone healthy at FC after that battle?

You are welcome, and this Fort Campbell fan is also thrilled for a Falcon vs. Falcon Semi this week. Look forward to hosting Monroe, as you guys were a class team to play last year. Should be another amazing game on the field. Have a safe trip. I am also a little disappointed it isn't at our home stadium (Friar), but regardless should be a good game. :popcorn:
