You can try to blame the administration of the schools but the real responsibility is on the parents. This does not happen only at the public schools as some would like to imply.:thumb: It was this time last year when the SK fans were very offended by the Trinity student section for classless disrespect of an injured player (was it not?).

 

As far as the game goes, I was really surprised that Male seemd to get "shut down" with that many threats on offense. I am SURE the TOs did not help but that IS a credit to the defense and actually turning those into points is a credit to the offense being able to convert opportunities.

 

Should be a good game against Scott Co. next week!

Congrats to the Rocks their D played very well. Male had two fumbles on handoffs lost them both and that hurt them early. The Male DB falling down right before the half on a bad pass by the Rock QB.

 

Also the Rock QB made some nice passes and of course the Male pass coverage just kills them. Male had some nice drives but the penalties were careless. Got to put pressure on the QB, Rocks did.

 

I thought being down 10-0 at the half wasn't too bad, Shouldn't have "thought". Nice crowd for both sides, and the Trinity Singers did a great job.

AL, thanks for the nice comments, especially about the Trinity Singers. Those guys participate in the flag ceremony at every home game and put in a lot of practice time, just like the football players. It's nice to see that someone, especially from the visiting school, recognizes them.

I wish someone would do something to take charge of the student section at Male. The homophobic chants are crude, but I can ignore them as the sophmoric fears of sexual identity that they are.

I agree. Kids are kids. I have every expectation that if the Trinity kids started something like that Rob Mullin would be there to stop it as fast as he could get there. There are rude fans at every school, but the administration has an obligation to control the students.

I was a lot more upset about the Kragthorpe chants than I was about the other trash.

The chants aimed at a player and his father are a different matter. In these uncertain economic times lots of kids have to worry about their father's job. Most don't have the added pressure of reading about it in the paper. The "educators" at Male need to take charge of their students and cut that stuff off. Congratulations to BK for ignoring it. A big time beat down is the best revenge.

I agree “AL”! The problem I have with the whole situation is that it was an organized cheer from an entire group. The “people are human” excuse works for me when one or two people say some retarded things. Not that I agree with that either!!! The student section should cheer for there team! Yelling gay chants to an all boys school who is kicking your teams butt seams very childish and reeks jealousy... IMO!!

I agree with you. Sometimes, adults are worse than kids.

 

I will also say that I heard a Trinity fan say something similar to what the Male student section was saying at the T vs. X game in October. I was REALLY angry. Not only because it was from our own fan, but because no matter what one thinks of his dad, this is a KID, and it's HIS game, and he deserves our support. Shameful, really shameful.
