The Colts are undefeated, so I guess you have to say they are the best in the AFC. However I think the Bengals have the best resume out of any team in the AFC and probably all of football so far with the teams they have beaten, and who the two losses came to. Since the Colts are undefeated I will rank them as #1 though for now.

Until someone beats the Colts, at 9-0, it is hard to put anyone else there. The Pats have lost 3 games, ... not just this game.

Mike Mahock of the NFL Network was asked this on the Steve Sabin show this morning and he did not hesitate to say the Bengals are the bes team in the AFC right now.

I don't think the Colts or Pats would sweep the Ravens and Steelers. I'm voting for my boys.

They are all close and possess different strengths and weaknesses.

Their record isn't the greatest but I think they have the talent to beat anyone on any given Sunday. They haven't been blown out by anyone and all five losses are to pretty darn good teams being:

 

@ Atlanta

Indy

@ San Diego

New Orleans

@ New England

 

So yes, I personally think they are a good team. Which world beaters would you place in front of them? Baltimore I can see but I'll take them over anybody else.

I'd have to vote for the team that's 9-0 and at least 2 games up on everyone else.

 

Personally, I think New England is going to be the best team by season's end. That's just my opinion.

If I wanted a team in the Superbowl to represent me, I'd go with the Pats. Even if the Colts did win the other night I still say Pats are the better team overall and will definitely be by season end. It not much difference either way, Manning and Brady are both two of the top 5 greatest QBs ever, I just prefer the experienced Bill coaching my team with Brady throwing the ball.

I know the Bengals have a good record and a tough tough Defense but I question when the game is on the line and they have to score if they can complete a two minute drill like Pats or Colts because this is most of the time what big games come down to.

Lets look at it this way, the Bengals have beaten a very good Ravens team twice and the defending Super Bowl Champ twice. Not just because i'm a Bengals fan, but I think the Bengals right now are the top team in the AFC just by who they have beat at home and on the road. I just don't think the Pats and Colts have played the tough competition the Bengals have.

Colts > undefeated....Manning

Bengals > At this point may be the most complete team

Pats > Great offense still geting better

Steelers > Need to buckle chinstraps and fix some holes that are fixable IMO

Chargers > Playing good football right now

I actually think that this is how the playoffs will end up like too. With 3 teams coming from the North.
