Who cares if Buckler carries the ball once or 100 times...it obviously has allowed Bellevue to put up big offensive numbers and average almost 40 points a game. It may be "one-dimensional" to the arm-chair QB's out there.

 

But as the 8 teams that haven't been able to stop that one dimension and get their opinions of Bellevue's offense and Buckler's running ability.

 

Beechwood even had a hard time stopping him the first time (176 yds) is pretty good!

I don't know any Beechwood fans that think this game is going to be easy. Not at all.

All these people are talking like it's some Titanic struggle. Beechwood pretty well dominated in the rain last time and if it weren't for fumbles that game would've gotten ugly. On a turf field where mud doesn't exists, Beechwood's athleticism is going to take over and a lot of people will hit the gates early.

Beechwood did NOT dominate the first meeting. Rigdon had a couple long runs for scores but outside of that it was very even and Bellevue was in position to win the game if they wouldnt have fumbled.

 

I agree the game will be much tougher for the Bellevue defense this week but it also will give Buckler a chance to really show his wheels also.

If Beechwood hadn't of ruined many drives with fumbles Rigdon and Co. would've broken a few more. Bellevue was pushed around up front from the start. The red and white tigers just fumbled the football too much. If you dominate up front you generally dominate a football game. Take out the mud and Beechwood drives them off the ball that much more and score twice as many at least.

I don't agree about Beechwood pushing Bellevue around. If anything, it was the other way in the first half. Beechwood was having trouble handling Bellevue's size up front. Bellevue was moving the ball like it was a rugby scrum - a wedge of big boys surrounding Buckler and hoping he found a crease. Get 3 yards and do it again. On one play, Buckler found the opening and off he went for a 60 yard TD. Beechwood did a good job shutting Bellevue down in the second half except for Bellevue's last drive when the rugby scrum had success again. It will be interesting to see how the battle in the trenches goes on the turf at Beechwood.
