BV couldn't hold BW to 16pts on their home field in horrible conditions so absolutely no way they can hold them to 16pts on turf. Heck, HHS and NCC didn't even do that...

On a serious note...it won't happen, but, is it possible to carry the ball 60 times in a HS game.

 

I could probably look back at some Boone games and find out, but don't have the time.

Even though I picked Beechwood. I won't be suprised to see Bellevue win. I think they can move the ball and eat up that clock they will be in the right spot come the 4th quarter. They have to make sure they let Beechwood beat them and not beat themselves with penalties and turnovers. (Of Course every team says this is key)

I think Jon Sudkamp of Bellevue carried it over 55 times in a game in the late 70's. I was shocked to hear his brother Mike had more yards than Jon. both were great work horses for the Tigers

The only reason Bellevue stayed in the 1st game is the muddy field and this game will be on turf. Because of this tigers roll!

I believe Mike Sutkamp still hold the national record for carries in a season at 487 set in 1981. All 4 Sutkamp brothers were great football players and good people.

It would mean BW would have to turn the ball over nearly everytime they touched it...or would have to score very fast.

Who cares if Buckler carries the ball once or 100 times...it obviously has allowed Bellevue to put up big offensive numbers and average almost 40 points a game. It may be "one-dimensional" to the arm-chair QB's out there.

 

But as the 8 teams that haven't been able to stop that one dimension and get their opinions of Bellevue's offense and Buckler's running ability.

I wouldnt say that we are all arm chair QB's, some of us have some coaching experience. Also, I don't think Bellevue is all one dimensional, they might horse out Buckler for 40 to50 carries a game, but you can't forget about Heege, he has turned out to become a great 3rd down and long go to guy.

 

This Friday night should be a tough match for both, but i believe that the scores will be higher than last, because of the turf. Good luck to both teams.
