Bellevue's offense and score at every opportunity. That should win the game. Bellevue had problems with Frankfort's speed. But creating turnovers and running down the clock won the game for them.

Frankfort had excellent all around team speed. If Beechwood can match that they have a chance. What am I saying chance? They are the favorites. Poor little Ole Bellevue will have to come up with a way to contain all the speed of Beechwood. If they don't it will be a long night. When they do. :dancingpa They win.

Bellevue's defense has been pretty stout too this year. The first team defense has allowed only 2 TD's in class A play. Brossart scored on Bellevue's 2nd team/JV's, Dayton scored on a offensive fumble recovery and Beechwood scored two offensive touchdowns.

 

So I would say that the defenses are both pretty good.

 

And you also have the 26 allowed to Frankfort last week. But I agree with you that Bellevue's D is tough. That is what impressed me a lot the first game. I am interested in seeing if they are as tough on the Beechwood turf.

Frankfort only scored 14 on Emminence (14-0). Beechwood put up 58. Beechwood keeps getting better every week on both sides of the ball.

Buckler 60 carries this week. 274 yards, 4 tds. Bellevue wins 29-28 by virtue of two point conversion!!

In your opinion would Bellevue have put up a few against Eminence?

People are always pointing at Bellevue being one-demensional. Beechwood, when healthy, has a couple of weapons. However, with Colosimo in doubt, that leaves really Rigdon and Vocke (sp?) as their main threats. Take the inside running of Colosimo out and that limits what Vocke can do. Just as in the first game, Beechwood will have to go with Rigdon to win the game.

Colosimo barely touched the ball, Vocke touched the ball one time, and Schuler (just as fast) never touched the ball. Rigdon pretty much beat BV by himself up the middle without the need to get outside or throw.

 

The BV defense will have to spread out and stop multiple phases of offense and multiple weapons. BW beat them at their game (3yds and a cloud of dust) now they will have to beat BW at theirs...on turf, I'll go with speed and the "been there done that factor" everytime.

I missed the cloud of dust. It must have risen out of the swamp. Thats where they played the last game. Take the two 70+ TD's (no 3 yrds and cloud of dust there) (maybe smoke) that Rigdon had and BW didn't have a lot of yards. I'm sure they will do better on the turf though. On the other hand Bellevue may just be able to get footing and keep from over running Rigdon when he runs that Draw or Trap play up the middle. Only time will tell.

If you read the post I was referring to the yardage not necessarily the TD.
