I don't think that this is accurate at all. The timing of when Highlands played Cincy St.X may have a lot to do with it. Too, I think that the score was close with Lou St. X and Cincy St. X going into the 4rth quarter. But the statement about the "outcome of the game" showing "who has team speed and who does not" is not grounded.

I also think that Highlands matched up much better in their style of play to Cincy St. X than Lou St. X did.

Not familiar with St X, how does their style differ than HHS?

JA is not an X fan he was stating that he thought that X was the better team this year.

Correct.. I am not an X or a T fan. I support Highlands and a lil bit of Ryle. I very well could be wrong and it wont be the first time but I just think X wins state in 6A.

From my understanding, St. X runs the ball a lot, with minimal creativity. They are often stronger than other teams and can wear them down. They could not do that against Cincy St. X. That is not to say the Louisville St. X does not have speed, but their style of play was not as effective against Cincy St. X as it might be against other teams.

Collinsworth is as fast as any player for Louisville St. X. But there is only one Collinsworth...X has many of them. #2 and #3 are both lightning quick. I think if X and Highlands had played, X would win 3-0. Highlands fumbles too much...Good luck to both in the playoffs.

Congrats to St. X on the big win. I may be the only NKY football fan to say this, but I'm definitely pulling for you guys against SK. Trinity is heating up and I suspect there's only one 6A team that can keep them from a title this year, and that's St. X!

Go Tigers! Take state!

From what I saw, I think St. X is noticeably faster than HHS and SK. I think they will beat SK handily and would also beat HHS. There is very little not to be impressed about with that team.

Why do so many T fans feel the need to get on so many thread and talk smack. The one thing I have learned over the years is that the biggest difference between X and T is that X has a lot more class. JMO :thumb:

Actually that is largely just myself and Rockpride. The rest of the bunch are really quite respectful and decent folks.

Exactly!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now that is an amusing comment coming from you.

Which I can't blame him for. We have to prove that we deserve another shot at them. X is the class of 6A until proven otherwise.`

#4 is faster than all of them. I think the DB for Ryle must have both ankles in ice today from the move #4 put on him on the punt return. It was unbelievable. Plus, #2 and #4 as well as #27 for X are underclassmen. #3 played mostly defense last night because X played with three defensive starters. Look at the stats, 9 different players scored for X. Both QB's for X ran for TD's and threw for TD's. Lots of weapons. ASK RYLE.

St. X looks and plays at the level of a good JuCo team. Pretty tough for a run-of-the-mill HS to compete with that size, strength and speed. These boys are thick!

I think HHS may have been able to match them when Bardo and Collinsworth were both healthy, but the way they are right now I don't think so.

I just can't see X giving Simpson any space to operate. They're good gang tacklers.

My compliments to all of the NKY fans, Ryle fans, and others who posted all week without any negative comments. What we all seem to share is a love of high school football, no matter where it is played.
