Some great matchups in this tourney. Who wins it all?

Edited by gold sunrise

Huntsville-Lee has former Louisville recruit Josh Langford and his cousin Devin. Now that he has reopened his recruiting they are both getting looks from some big programs, such as Illinois and Marquette. They won their season opener last night against another Huntsville team.

Does anyone know anything about the out of state teams?

Thanks for the info. Knew they had some D-1 players, any more info would be appreciated.

Know that the Ariz. team has Rex Chapman's son, on the team.

I may have to make the trip to see Eastern and Tates Creek! That is a big time matchup of 2 top 10 teams in the state. I don't know much about any of the out of state schools.

I agree this will be a great matchup. Any info of the out of state teams would be appreciated, as GRC is in the bracket with all of them.

Memphis Central has Jarnell Stokes supposedly one of the best big men in class of 2012. He has offers from Missouri and of course Memphis. They also have a guard, I believe the coaches son, who is considered a D-1 prospect in 2012 by the name of Andre Applewhite II.

Schools that have offered Josh Langford are:

Alabama

Auburn

Chattanooga

Georgia

Marquette

UNLV

Very impressive list. He is a 6'6 SF. Either Zollo 6'9 or Purvis 6'8 will be going up against him.

Looks like Warren Central will be down one of its top players during this tourney, as Jordan Shanklin will miss the first month of the year. He had a rod placed in his leg this week because it has never properly healed since his stress fracture last January.

I'm beginning to lose hope that we'll ever see the player we thought we would when he was a freshman.

I hate to hear this. Enjoyed watching him play in AAU this summmer. Who is taking his place?

Does anyone know how they pair the teams? All the out of town teams are in the bottom bracket. Do they try to assure that an in-state team makes the championship game?

Memphis Central:

6'7 Jarnell Stokes- rated the #3 player in the country for the c/o 2012

6'4 Tim Peete- 3 Star Tulsa commit

6'4 Andre Applewhite- Top 150 for c/o 2012

Cental also has a kid by the last name of Harmon (5'11) that is a 4 yr varsity letterman for them and is receving some small D1 interest.

Memphis Central is currently 5-1 with their only loss coming to Holmes last week at Warren Central in the KY-TN Shootout.

Powder Springs McEachern, Ga:

6'3 Trae Golden: rated #55 for c/o 2010. 4 Star Tennessee commit

The Indians are currently 5-1 coming in to the KOB.

McEachern's Roster

Huntsville Lee:

6'6 Devin Langford- Younger cousin of Josh Langford. Considered to be a high D1 prospect and already holds offers from Alabama, Maryland, and Wake Forrest.

6'7 Josh Langford- Former L'ville commit. 3* prospect that now holds offers from Alabama, Auburn, Chattanooga, Georgia, Marquette, and UNLV.

The bottom bracket is by far the strongest bracket. All four out of state teams, GRC, Holmes, Ballard and Trinity. Usually the bracket the home school putting on the tourney is in, is the weaker bracket. This is one of the better fields of teams in awhile.

That bottom bracket is indeed loaded. Any team in the bracket could win the tournament

Ballard v Memphis Central is the most intriguing match up I see though. Both teams like to get out and run and have athletes all over the floor.
