Ballard v Memphis Central is the most intriguing match up I see though. Both teams like to get out and run and have athletes all over the floor.

 

I would assume that is why they are in the lower bracket....

 

They play right before the GRC vs Lee Al. game. I was wanting to go to our game, but it is looking like I won't be able to go. Would love to watch the Ballard v Memphis Central game.

Does anyone know if there will be any video coverage of the games? I know last year they gave updates on the kob site and recaps after the game, but didn't know if they'd be doing that this year or not.

This year's event begins Thursday at Fairdale High School, the focus will turn to some of the Bluegrass State's finest. The 16-team field includes 10 squads in the Top 25 of The Courier-Journal's preseason poll of coaches, including six of the top 11.

“There are always quality players and good teams,” Eastern coach Jason Couch said. “But this could be the most quality Kentucky teams that (tournament director Lloyd Gardner) has put together in a while.”

I hate to hear this. Enjoyed watching him play in AAU this summmer. Who is taking his place?

 

Seems like they've got somewhat of a rotation in his place. Right now they're starting Brett Jackson, who usually spells George Fant as the 6th man, and have also started a sophomore guard Donovan Halsel, a player Riley is very high on. But right now they don't have anyone that slashes into the lane as effectively, and the zone is crushing the team. They had their best offensive output against Memphis white Station, which plays man to man, a defense I don't expect the Dragons will see often.

Should be a heck of a tournament... To bad I can't make it down, but I will have an eye on it. Is there any video/audio of the games I can pick up on a CPU while I am at work?

Thanks for the info, appreciate it. I know Fant and Shanklin stayed with Stenzel some this summer while they were playing AAU. Be sure to let us know when he comes back to play.

I have looked on Wazoo sports and couldn't find anything or ihigh either. If I am at home I will give updates of the GRC game. I really wantd to go, but that don't look possible now.
