Not all Erlanger Lion kids will go to Lloyd, we have them go to Lloyd, St Henry, Boone County, Dixie and CovCath. Our territory is spread out with the Erlanger mailing address however, Kenton County School District. Some choose to go to St Henry and will not play Football. JD

I was B Dubs watching the ND game and saw a kid with a blue uniform with Scruggs on the back. He had a replica of the Heisman trophy so I assume he had a great game.

That trophy was actually the NKYFL MVP trophy.

 

The final score was BCPWFL 40 - NKYFL 30. The score went back and forth through the first 3 quarters with the NKYFL leading at half, but a turnover by NKYFL late in the 3rd proved too much to overcome.

 

BCPWFL coaches played to win the game and NKYFL coaches got everyone in.

 

For the NKYFL, Dylan Huff returned a kickoff 75 yards for a TD. Zach Harris scored twice and Jonathan Scruggs scored once - all rushing TD's. Zach Harris was named the NKYFL Offensive player of the game, Boston was the BCPWFL's Offensive player of the game - scoring thrice on the ground.

I'm sure they played everyone. I'm not putting any one down and I don't want to take anything away from the Boone Co All-Stars, the NKYFL only played kids one way and Boone played some of their better athletes on both sides of the ball. Boone had more of an All-Star team and the NKYFL had a "make everybody happy team".

 

Congrats to the BCPWFL All-Stars and their coaches. They grinded out and took advantage of opportunities to get the win! Both team's players played their butts off, unfortunately, one team wins and the other loses.

 

There were alot of kids on that field whose names we will hear alot over the next 4 years.

Casey Boston was named Offensive Player of the game, and Brendon Fisk chosen as the Defensive Player.

Can anyone comment on the re-tooling of the BC League? I have heard that kids outside of Boone County will not be able to play in the league, and I have also heard that the teams roster's will be determined by the school district they live in. This makes alot of sense to me. I would like to see the "draft" eliminated and let these kids start playing together at a younger age, then all the way up through high school together.

 

I know alot of kids come over from Kenton County due to the weight rules that exist in Kenton County. Don't know if it's true, but I was told that SK's varsity has several lineman that played in the Boone County League. Just wondering what people's thoughts were on this one.

 

I coach in the BC league and I do not think that we would ever restrict a kid from playing football. I do not think that we have discussed disallowing Kenton County kids from participating. There has been some discussion about only allowing out of county kids to play on the line of scrimmage or not allowing them to carry the ball.
