November 18, 200916 yr I coach in the BC league and I do not think that we would ever restrict a kid from playing football. I do not think that we have discussed disallowing Kenton County kids from participating. There has been some discussion about only allowing out of county kids to play on the line of scrimmage or not allowing them to carry the ball. It has been discussed before and was dropped when people realized that only about 10-15% of the kids are from outside the county. The bolded part will never happen!

I am not saying that I agree or disagree but it was brought up again at the last coaches meeting. There were many of coaches that did agree with this, so I would not say that it would never happen.

November 18, 200916 yr Just curious to know what the weight limit restrictions are for 3/4, 5/6 and 7/8. For Boone County, I believe the following weights are in effect for backs only. 3/4-90 lbs. 5/6-125 lbs. 7/8-150 lbs. No weight restrictions for any other players.

I am sure there are people who would like to merge and some that would not. Weight restrictions would be least of the worries. I think it would come down to a major compromise on each side on by-law league structure. BC runs their league as one big corporation were NKY runs our league as 10 different companies with a 10 different head people. One of those two processes would have to change in order to do it. Plus territory would be a real issue. It wouldn't work with a draft system, but I hear BC is realigning teams to match their high schools districts. That is how NKY does it by territory. So I am not sure if it could or could not happen but, no, no serious discussions have ever taken place.
