Again, 95%+ of anyone that voiced an opinion on the X/Highlands game picked X. I am not going to explain why I picked X or even admit it was a poor pick. It made sense at the time. Honestly, picking Highlands could only be viewed as a blow hard move, despite the "speed" on the Bluebirds team. St. Xavier has played teams just as fast this year and won, so...

 

If you honestly thought Highlands would win and had concrete reasons, than nice job. You are quite impressive. :notworthy:

Well, I am going to go out on a limb and say that Colerain is the best team in the country NOT to qualify for postseason play.

 

CF, what kind of team will Colerain have next year?

I call it the "Colerain Hangover". Teams typically don't fare well after playing Colerain. I don't know if it's a letdown after getting up for a game against an opponent like Colerain or if they are physically beaten up a bit. I personally think it's a combination of both that wears on teams and lingers after their contest with Colerain is long over.

I think it's just a little too early to be talking "next year", we still have many teams in this years playoff picture in the tristate area. Some of the best football is yet to come "this year". As they say "the cream will rise to the top" !!! :isurrender:

That is an excellent point. Highlands couldn't have been a better Harbin Cow for Colerain last year. As I said earlier, they are THE reason we ended up with the #1 seed in the region last season.

As far as next year...we are going to run the ball.

 

Seriously, we will be a favorite to win the region along with St. X and then probably Moeller. The QB turnover next year in Cincy is going to be incredible. The entire GCL and Colerain all lose their QB's from this season. Should be interesting.

No it wouldn't. I wouldn't have given the thread 5 posts if St. Xavier had won because that is what they were SUPPOSED to do. It only gets exciting because they failed to do what every other Cincy big school team had done for 20 years.
