Congrats to Will Stein on a solid performance.

I agree! :ylsuper::ylsuper:

In the CJ today it said that they are on pace to have their worst year of attendance since the Ron Cooper era...

Several Card fans came to the game dressed as empty seats.

That's funny, I don't care who you are...

That's very easy to believe.

For nongame related reasons I left at halftime, but I actually thought the crowd was larger than the 22,000 number given.

When was the last time ANY team short-changed themselves on the attendance? :idunno:

A win is a win...

And I won on the - 1.5 spread. :D

Well, that certainly makes AD's very nervous...as it should.

That was in the old Cardinal Stadium wasn't it? When did Papa Johns open?

^ Louisville moved in to Papa John's Cardinal Stadium in 1998, John L Smith's first year as coach, so the season after Cooper's exit.

I read an article about UL's game, and they said Stein was 5'8". I had no idea he was that small. Just shows you size isn't everything, he was about 7 foot tall when SK played them.

He's definitely small, but played very well IMO.

We certainly have much more expert Trinity people on here than me. I might need some help, but.....

Simon Kenton did not play against Will Stein. Will quarterback one season at Trinity in 2007. He broke some of Brian Brohm's passing records and won a state championship against St. Xavier. He played some receiver in 2006 when Nick Petrino quarterbacked the Rocks.

Simon Kenton played Trinity in the finals in 2008 and the Shamrocks were quarterbacked by first year starter Cameron Smyth. Another first year Trinity starting quarterback and another state championship. I do recall Smyth having a near perfect game in the state finals. Wasn't he 12-12 passing with 3 touchdowns?

I thought the Trinity Qb was taller than that. Smith was 7 foot tall that night.

This was the QB from the year before, Will Stein. Cameron Smyth was our QB when we played SK in the title game, Stein won the title in overtime against St.X.

Correct on all points. Will had more TD passes in a single season than Brian and I also think that he broke his completion percentage rating as well.

Stein holds the TD record, while Smyth has the completion percentage record.
