If no CCH player was injured then that's the highlight of the night.

 

Played without 3 defensive starters. Started 3 sophs in their place.

 

Not that any of that would have made a difference, thus, the injury comment.

St. X was razor sharp on Senior Night as the margin of victory is rather surprising considering the way CovCath has been playing of late. The X offensive playmakers were not hampered by the rainy conditions, as X totalled 455 yards of offense. I think I heard they had 18 first downs in the first half alone.

 

Jeont'a. Hayden - 5 carries for 136 yards and 2 TD's

LaMont McMurry - 5 carries for 57 yards and scored 3 TD's

Michael Montano - 10 carries for 115 yards and 1 TD

Jeremaih Neal mainly played linebacker but had three touches on ofense all resulting in touchdowns. One on a 4 yard rush, a 54 pass reception and he even threw a touchdown pass to McMurry at the end of the first half.

 

They are still dealing with injuries to several key players, many from the defensive side of the ball. The hope is that most can be ready for the second round of the playoffs. Good luck to the Tigers!

So here's what we've learned in CCH's last two losses.

 

They are not going to win 6A.

 

They are not going to win 5A.

 

So, lets just play and see how far we roll and enjoy the ride.

Things are looking up for the St.X Tigers they may have weathered the strorm and are getting healthy for the play-off run.

X is physically strong and they run well. Unfortunately I can't tell if they can play pass D because of the downpour effecting the CCH passing game.

 

Ryle would be a decided underdog.

All things being even, I really do think St X is the best in state this year...I know you can compare the Cinci St X win vs the loss, but, thats just one game for each...Highlands would give St X a game, most likely, and may even beat em, but, in a 10 game series, X would come out on top in 6 or 7 of those, imo...
