I don't either. I don't know Stepp, and didn't see the Flyers this year. For all I know, he's the worst HS coach in the nation...then again, he may be a fantastic coach who just needs time to develop his program. You show no commitment as a school or organization when you kick out coaches annually, and that means nobody with any talent is interesting in coming to work for you.

 

Is that the reputation Franklin County wants to present to the coaching fraternity? I would suggest patience, Flyers... best of luck as you sort it out...:thumb:

 

I disagree, Coach Stepp is the one who has shown no commitment. You have no idea how bad it's been this year even on the Assistant coaches. I admire how they stuck it out for the players and the program.

Close. Franklin County missed the playoffs in 2001 and 2002. The last time they didn't a playoff game was in 2004 when they lost to Highlands in the first round.

I agree completly jvdfc. The asst. coaches went through more than they should have. Stepp just has no respect for them. He shows no emotion for the players. He skipped out on numerous events instead sending an asst. coach such as the Bob Allen Pigskin Classic Banquet. He cancelled June workouts so he could find himself a house in Frankfort. No commitment on his part whatsoever. It is bad over on the east side of Frankfort. AD Spickard and Principal Collett really need to evaulate where the program is headed with him and what kind of example he is setting for these kids. I completly agree with giving coaches time, but not this one. In giving coach more time, they have to put the effort forth and Stepp is not doing this.

Great win for Hills, kids played with alot of class and heart. Flyers stomped on the W before the game and were doing alot of trash talking. Your 1-9 trash talking should be the last thing you do, just no class on the east side.

What I want to know is why in this world does WH not run the Power I no more than what they have the last 2 games. They better make sure Wright gets about 20 + touches a game if they expect to go very far in the playoffs..

Could someone please tell me what Franklin County players were talking trash about after halftime? When you are 1-8 and down to your rival by 20+ points, what could you possibly saying? Western Hills did a good job of taking advantage of opportunities to make plays, and limiting Franklin County to 27 total yards a 1 first down in the first half. Not sure why Franklin County would show such disrespect as to stomp on Hills' "W" or why the coaching staff would allow that to happen. The JV game between these teams was even worse on Sat. MANY unsportsmanlike penatlites on Franklin Co and ejections. - heard Timmons (sic) was ejected from this game.

I think Hills tries to run the jet offense when they can. if the jet offense is not working then they go to the running game. I think the coaches know they can run the ball to but that is not what the jet offense is.

I find it funny that Hills supporters are acting like they have never talked trash in a losing effort. No matter what the score or the sport when these two teams play trash is talked by both sides, its part of the game.

Hills gets personal fouls and sideline warnings like no other team I have seen over the last two years. But it is a shame to see the FC kids showing their frustration like this.

Well when you have been running it up every chance you get its amazing how things change when the tides have turned. If it takes winning a JV game to make you feel better, then congradulations. What comes around goes around.

True, It proved the young talent at FCHS is very promising. I guess it didn't do any good congratulating Hills and Coach Miller earlier in this thread. The arrogant attitude continues with some on the west. I guess that makes you "feel better".
