Congrats to Hills and Coach Miller.

WOW. Thought would have been closer.

Congrast to WHHS on a great season. Keep rolling.

Tough year for the young men on the east side of town. What will happen now. Can the folks on the east side get behind their coach and support him and prepare for next season?

The grumblings are already beginning on the east side. I saw and talked to many die-hard Flyer fans who have been through Dearborn,Roberts,Walker, Ledford and Stepp, who said Stepp is by far the worst coach they have seen. I have never seen so many older FC fans leave a game. The players just aren't motivated by the emotionless Aaron Stepp. I want to thank Jeremy Gardner and Franklin Goins for everything they have done for the FC program. I have watched Gardner grow up from the youth league until now and it has been a great ride. #3 you are the defintion of Flyer football. The Flyers will be searching for another leader and maybe even a new coach.

FC 1-9, first year not in the play-offs since what?? 01? First year without a play off win since? 200?3?

Hey atleast it won't take much to improve over his 1st season there...

It will take more than you think. The kids do not want to fight and scrap for a coach who shows no emotion. I am anxious to see how many kids come back and play next year. I sure hope things get better on the east side, but unfortunately I think they need to find someone else to lead the troops. I am never one to get ask to rid of a coach after one season. I am a huge Louisville fan and never once talked about firing Kragthorpe. You give a coach a chance, but Stepp is a completely different situation.

I wonder if the FC administration will entertain upset parents after one year with the new coach?

Thats a good question. I hope they re-evaluate the situation. The kids deserve a head coach who is going to put his all into it.

I have to ask this question. What kind of a job would seem attractive to a perspective coach if the current coach was given one season and then fired? I don't think that is the right answer.

I don't either. I don't know Stepp, and didn't see the Flyers this year. For all I know, he's the worst HS coach in the nation...then again, he may be a fantastic coach who just needs time to develop his program. You show no commitment as a school or organization when you kick out coaches annually, and that means nobody with any talent is interesting in coming to work for you.

Is that the reputation Franklin County wants to present to the coaching fraternity? I would suggest patience, Flyers... best of luck as you sort it out...:thumb:
