Miles and Janish don't this much attention in their own homes. :D

If the Reds signed Damon there would be a buzz going into April.

Tim Kurkjian has an article on ESPN insider saying the Reds should sign him and it could help save Dusty Baker's job.

I am just a believer of statement signings. If they want us to go down to the ballpark past 4th of July, then give us something to watch.

I agree ^

Braves offered Damon a one year deal. Probably only a matter of time.

Braves offer is 2 million with 2 million deferred. A long way from what he thought he was worth.

The Reds have to throw $3 million at Damon for a 1 year deal.

And thas a GREAT deal... didn't they give that to Cabrera? We then have a LF, a lead off batter, and leadership.

I would love to have Damon, but Boras says he's looking for a 2 year deal.

They can give Taveras a 2 year deal, but not Damon? :ohbrother:

Apparently. Damon would still be able to put up great number in GABP too. I wish the Reds would jump on him. That may the piece in the puzzle to maybe make a push for a run in late August/September that we never have.

I'd give Damon a 2 year, $5 million deal if that's what he wants.

Damon wouldn't be great defensively, but I think he'd be alright. More importantly, he'd provide some stability in the lineup, leadership in the outfield & a formidable bat at the top of the lineup.

The fans would love it. Damon hit for power last year as well. Now it may not keep up but he would love GABP. Really like the fact he could mentor Stubbs and Bruce.

Good point.

2 years 5 million sounds good. With Damon Reds would be right there for postseason.
