Going to my first NBA game on Friday.

Featured Replies

I'm heading up to Indy to watch the Pacers and the Heat play on Friday. Who all else has been to NBA games? Did you enjoy them? I don't follow the NBA too closely but I'm definitely looking forward to it!

Never been to one. I've been lucky enough to make it to a few professional baseball games (in Atlanta and Cincinnati) and numerous professional football games (in Cincinnati, Tennessee, New York, and Atlanta). However I have not had the opportunity to go to an NBA game. Sounds like a lot of fun!

I'd like to catch a Celtics game some day, but I've yet to get to see any at this point.

I'm sure you'll have fun, though. At worst, you will likely see Wade put on a show.

I'd love to go to an NBA game.

How much are tickets, formerky?

Been to a few NBA games. I really enjoyed going to Conseco Field House the only time I've been there. Ironically, I also watched the Heat and Pacers when I went there. It was Reggie Miller's last season, I think he had 30 in that game, and Shaq, DWade and Damon Jones had all but like 10 of the Heat's points.

How good are your seats? There really isn't a bad seat in the house at Indy. If you are taking kids (if you just want to) get there early because you can go down and get some autographs or take pictures before the game. Probably won't be able to get DWade, but most players take some time for the fans.

Have a good time FKYWrestler. Let us know how you enjoy your trip. :thumb:

ColonelCrazy,

If you would want to go to a Cavs game, check this site out.

Cavs tickets are pretty much already sold out, but they set up this site for season ticket holder to get rid of their tickets. Some go for face value or lower! Even when teams like the Lakers and Celtics come to town tickets are reasonably priced on there. With the flashseats, your seats get put on your credit card or Drivers license and it's really easy. Send me a PM if you want or need more details.

I have never been but everyone that goes tells me they have a new found appreciation for the game.

You'll love it. The best athletes in the world, playing the best game in the world. I've been to a number of them. I won't go though unless I'm given tickets, because they're too overpriced for me.

That's funny, the last game I went to with my son was at Indy. Heat vs. Pacers. DWade is a beast. I looked yesterday and I think that the 14th of Nov. the Celtics are at Indy, and I may make that trip. Love to see Ray Allen shoot. Purest in the league IMO.

Oh BTW, stay clear of the Hooters in downtown Indy. Last two times I've been, the entire group I was with got sick from the food. What a shame.

That what I'm hoping for. The Heat are probably my favorite team and I really like Wade!

I have no idea. I have a very good connection for any kind of event in Indy. Went to the Brickyard this year and had really good seats. I could've went to a Colts game as well but passed it up.

She said that they were 15 rows up...so it sounds like they are great seats.

I will definitely let you know how it is. Are concessions reasonable there?

I have heard that from a lot of people too!

I saw the old Cincinnati Royals when I was a small child. In 1989 I saw the Rex Chapman led Charlotte Hornets play in the Hawks in Atlanta. I was in Atlanta for the Nascar race and me and a couple of buddies went to the NBA game on Friday night. I think Charlotte won. The whole weekend is sort of etch a sketch.

I've actually been to an original ABA game. Saw KY Colonels with Issel and Gilmore go up against the Ice Man and Swen Nater.

You've picked a great venue for an NBA game. Indy gets really loud. I've been to Washington and its OK but not as nice as Indy.

I went to Detroit in '88 or '89 to see the Bulls. Jordan hit a three at the buzzer to go to OT. My buddies and I were for the Bulls so we had to control our excitement. When we went into the game it started to flury and when we came out there were about four inches of snow. Somehow we made it over to Canada for some entertainment. :D That part was incredible as well!:thumb:

15 rows up? Great seats man, NBA game is alot different when you're watching it that close.

The concessions are about what you'd expect. The food cost about the same as it would at Rupp, I think beer there was 6 dollars (cheap for a game), but I wasn't old enough to buy it when I was there, so I could be a little off. They also have so gourmet things in there, from the best that I can remember, and really those aren't too high priced at NBA games, considering that it is in the Arena.
