After what Western Hills' senior class has been through in their 4 years, do not think they will over look Franklin County. County will come out with emotion and effort, and if Western Hills allows them to hang aroung will be even more of a dog fight. Hills needs to execute early and put some points on the board to sap County's emotional high. ColonelMike what games have been an enigma for Hills other than the West Jessamine game? You always have good insight, so wondered what other games you had in mind. If Hills scores early 35-6; if Hills allows County to hang around - Hills 18-6.

The couple of head-scratchers I was referring to were the two Jessamine games...one a win, but by a far closer score than I would have imagined, and the other a loss, by a far greater margin than I expected.

The Wolverines have come a long way...this senior class has a lot to be proud of. I remember watching them play North Oldham when they were sophomores, and I predicted then that they'd be a major district force the next two years. I think they can go far in the playoffs, but they need more performances similar to the one against North Oldham...

This senior class has worked hard to get to where they are. :thumb:

This is County's Super Bowl. Their state championship. No playoffs. Nothing to look forward to after tonight. After all the hard times this season, this can make it all a little more worth while.

County's only win comes against a team, Woodford Co., that Hills lost to. I'll take County by a field goal in overtime. 24 - 21

Just remember, that was the first game of the year and Hills had, I believe 7 turnovers and they only lost by 6 points. Also they left five points on the field, missed field goal and two extra points.

Hills 35-7

This week Western Hills plays host to cross town rival Franklin Co.

who wins and why?

Hills with a shut out 49-0. Hills has done a great job spreading the offense out among several players, this is what has them clicking.I dont think the coaching staff will change anything.

FC has more speed than Hills it just does not really show up most nights, but its there.

Wasn't using those games as a point of fact, just something to chew when thinking about if County can beat Hills. They've taken their lumps this season, but they should definitely believe the can win this game.

Good defenses can cause turnovers, no excuses...regardless, Hills takes this one easy.

I know the hunger and will to win is in Gardner and Goins' hearts. Today marks their last football practice of their high school football career and you know that gets the blood flowing. I am looking for my Flyers to pull the upset tomorrow night on the West side. I know the young guys want to send the seniors off with a win.

I agree with what you are saying, BUT it takes more than 2 in the game of football.

Western Hills 29-16.

Believe me the Flyers will have more than 2 Friday. I know for a fact that Timmons, Watkins, Lackey, Williams and the boys will be ready. They know how tough it has been for Gardner and Goins as well as the other seniors to have a one win season. The underclassmen want more than anything to send these seniors off with a win.

That is good to hear.
